"Chris at Grimshaw Audio was recommended to us by The Green Dragon Pub in Dronfield. From our very first meeting Chris was professional and helpful. Because this was the first festival I had organised, a PA sound system was very alien to me! Luckily Chris listened to our requirements and helped guide through what was required and offered help and info along the way. From the first meeting through to the festival Chris organised all the PA and sound with all of our performers without me having to get involved. Therefore taking a great deal of pressure off of me! Over the weekend of the festival he was extremely professional and handled any issues or hic-ups we came across on my behalf very efficiently. The sound and the set up was run professionally and we had positive comments from all involved. Afterwards Chris was keen to organise a meeting to run through our feedback and offer his advice on where we could perhaps better our sound achievements for next year. As an organiser it is always great to work with someone who can take their role and run with it without the constant need to "baby sit". Chris has been great to work with - he even accommodated a few last minute changes made on my part without any issues whatsoever! I will hopefully be working with Chris again next year on the Festival and would highly recommend him for any sound requirements."

"Exclusive Party DJs were simply amazing. Harvey went above and beyond with frequent catch ups and was really responsive and easy to deal with and recommended us a package which was within our budget and also just what we needed. He was an excellent host and played a great selection of songs and catered for all different ages and genres, while making well timed announcements and keeping our guests engaged. "A complicated (well, it seemed complicated to us) set up involving multiple external locations in difficult weather. Fantastic adaptability combined with comprehensive knowledge and experience led to perfect solutions with no stress or problems. Prior to the event there was frequent and timely communication that helped in the planning and provided insight as well as the mandatory requirements. Additionally, they were extremely competitive on price and were very good value for money indeed."

"Absolutely first class! Chris and Olly managed to transform our bare, run down marquee into an inviting, charming place for our Great Gatsby Ball. Chris worked alongside us helping with ideas and suggestions and was on hand for site visits and available to talk through the plans whenever we needed. Everyone who attended couldn't believe the transformation and amazing atmosphere all the lighting and sound helped to create. "This was my first time using Chris and it was for a musical theatre production of 'Godspell' at the Hasland Theatre. Chris came recommended by a friend of mine (Adam Parrish) after he did the sound engineering for a concert Adam had recently done with Gordon Giltrap. Well what can I say - Chris did an amazing job! He came along for a preliminary meeting with me where we looked around the venue, talked about the requirements for the show which included a live 4 piece band and 10 wireless headset radio mics. Chris then gave a full explanation of what equipment he thought was required to make a great sound within the venue, how much time he would have to dedicate to the project and from that came up with a quote for us. We confirmed it all over email and then it was just a matter of waiting for show week to roll around. This came at the end of March and Chris arrived with all the equipment he needed and got set up ready to go. It was great that the equipment he had was all digital and took up a very small amount of space and that he was able to control it all from his iPad at the back of the theatre, since there was literally no room for him to be anywhere else. Several of the band members commented on how great it was that Chris asked them before every show about their individual monitor mixes, if anything needed changing, if Chris needed to be aware of any issues from previous nights etc and are still talking about it now as something like that which seems really obvious and simple makes a huge difference to those playing and performing. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris even when I had to ask for some additional monitors to be placed on the stage as the actors were struggling to hear the musicians he just turned up with speaker stands and monitors and got them plugged in and ready for the following nights performance. Amazing! It is also important to note Chris's attitude throughout the entire process. Putting on a musical is an exceedingly stressful thing to do and I was having to think about a lot of things throughout the run, but Chris remained calm, level-headed and had a very calming presence which was commented on by several cast members and others within the creative team, which is just what you want in a high stress environment. He was great to work with and lots of laughs were had throughout the week amongst the whole team who he worked well with. A very quick and speedy break down and get out on the Saturday night wrapped everything up nicely. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into making our show sound amazing and we really cannot wait to be working with you again hopefully in the very near future."

"I want to really thank and recommend Grimshaw Audio/Chris for his work with us on an event at Batley Bulldogs Rugby Stadium. Chris provided exactly what we needed for an event with over 1,000 school children. The equipment/sound he provided was perfect for the needs of the event. The way in which he adapted to OUR last minute changes was hugely professional and courteous with lots of patience. The event which was a first for our organisation to plan had all we needed in terms of sound (across a huge venue) which included individual speakers, school choirs, samba band and soloists.
