Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Our biggest gig to date has been the Knutsford Town Hall beer festival to a crowd of several hundred people, however some of our favourite gigs have been in local pubs and bars including our former regular slot in Derby’s former Belgian bar - our music is a good accompaniment to a nice beer. We have also played weddings and during our time at university played as part of a larger band for several society balls including an event at Sheffield City Hall.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

As per our repertoire our tastes are eclectic. We enjoy anything that can be made to sound good with two voices and guitar. Some key influences being The Beatles, Hozier, Eric Clapton, The Arctic Monkeys, Elbow. However, a great set finisher favourite of ours is Wanted Dead or Alive by the great Bon Jovi.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Rick (guitar) and Dan (vocals) met at the music players society in Sheffield in 2012. Originally members of a blues band in which we have played at many gigs across Sheffield and Derbyshire. Since both moving to Derby in 2014 we have continued to play as a two piece in pubs, bars, weddings and charity events across Derbyshire, Cheshire and Yorkshire.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Nothing is better than playing to a crowd who are willing to sing along and dance. Weddings are particularly great for this but we have achieved the same outcome from micro-pubs and beer festivals.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Setup 20 mins
2 x 45 minute sets (can be lengthened / shortened as requested with scalable fee)
Pack away 20 mins

Are you happy to perform outside?

We have happily performed outside before, all we ask for is suitable shelter for us and the electronics and a stable power supply in the event that it rains.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely! In the past we have been able to pull together a request on the spot, however give us requests and a few days to play with it and if it can be done with a guitar and two voices, we will do it!

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

We have often been described as really versatile and fun
