How to choose your band for your event

Their are three things to check when choosing musicians for your event. Firstly, how do they sound? Have a listen to some mp3 samples of your chosen band and make sure that they are appropriate for your guests. Secondly, check out some pictures of the band actually playing a live gig (i.e. not only studio photos), this will ensure that you know exactly what they will look like at your party, wedding or function. Thirdly, read some previous client testimonials. It is ideal if you can get some information from people who have booked the band in the past, all good agencies will supply this stuff!

Experience versus enthusiasm is often the question when choosing musicians for a party. A more experienced band might be bit more professional and polished but will they have the same enthusiasm as a group of twenty-somethings?
