Hiring live musicians for an event can be a stressful job. Here a few questions that we get asked frequently about booking tribute bands from our entertainment agency.
What will the band require?
Changing room (if possible)
Refreshments - soft drinks & food appropriate to the time of day
(e.g. sandwiches for afternoon bookings / for evening bookings a hot meal is appropriate)
Standard power socket (near the performance area, not required for acoustic musicians or acts)
Parking - most of the time venues have a car park that you can reserve spaces in if you ask the venue (nicely!) in advance, or there may be free street parking nearby. If not, the cost of parking the band's vehicle(s) in the closest public car park will be added.
When will the band arrive/setup?
When you book a band you will be asked for a start and end time. The start must be at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance to allow the band to set up. If the band need longer than this to set up they will arrive earlier than the start time to allow for this, but you will not be charged any extra. The band will finish playing at the end time and will need to pack up immediately.
Does the band play an iPod or CD during the breaks?
Most of our bands offer this as standard. Simply tell us you want the band to bring some background music when you book and we will make all the necessary arrangements. A lot of our clients prefer to bring their own iPod with suitable music that has been chosen in advance and plug it in to the bands sound system.
