The Acoustic Experiment was formed in March 2008 and consists of 2 members
Al Luck and Ollie Paine.
The idea was to combine two great players together in order to create a musical act that could undertake some great live gigs where space might be an issue.
Performing music from all decades and covering all genre’s, The Acoustic Experiment can perform up to 2.5 hours of live music without the aid of backing tracks and pre recorded instruments. Both Al and Ollie share the vocals between them, and you can find a copy of our latest song list on this site.
The Acoustic Experiment have managed to capture a really unique and satisfying sound. Both Al’s keyboard playing and Ollie’s acoustic guitar playing compliment each other and the combination is obviously working because the duo are going from strength to strength.
We are able to play all the songs listed in our set list. As this totals over 3 hours of music, it is very rare that we will play them all, as we normally play around 2 x 1 hour sets. If you are thinking of booking us we are happy to consider learning a song or two for special events such as weddings, although we would need enough notice prior to the event so that we can rehearse the material.
The Acoustic Experiment are one of the most versatile duets in the Northants area.
