Getting gigs in Manchester should be easy. With a rich heritage for live music there should be lots of gigs going around in Manchester. If you are looking to get gigs in what is arguably the second most active city for live music after London then you do the following. Firstly, check out some of the live venues that suit your type of music and then aproach the manager. For Jazz a good place to start would be Matt & Phreds in the Northern Quarter or Band on the Wall. For Rock music a good starting point would be the Roadhouse or Night and Day, both of which are close to piccadilly station.
