Do bands ever substitute musicians?

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that musicians aren’t substituted, occasionally it is necessary for bands to do so in cases of illness etc. Replacement musicians will always be experienced professionals of a similar high standard but it’s worth checking with your band as to their exact policy.
