Duo John & Neil plus sound engineer: £726 |
John E Cash (vocals, guitar, banjo & percussion) has a passion for singing, and nervously sang his first song “in public” in 1969, it was the big hit of the time, Johnny Cash’s ‘A boy named Sue’ from the live album San Quinton. The duo’s “friends songs” are those from the great American back catalogue with a style inspired by country blues, old time, bluegrass & contemporary music. A solo voice & guitar project as John E Cash, saw big stage gigs at Broadstairs Folk Week and Shrewsbury Folk festival. “John E” has performed to thousands on national radio, at festivals, and in the most intimate of venues in every county in England and Scotland.
Neil Yung (vocals, guitar, harmonica, & percussion) first picked up the guitar at school as a teenager; and went on to play electric bass in a prog rock band. Then he grew up… An accomplished singer songwriter with a recently recorded new album that is selling well, he is thoroughly enjoying the diversity of playing “Neil Yung” with John E Cash with their tribute to the two musical legends, and also the broad range of Americana they play in their “and friends” show.
