The Big Phat Rock 'n' Soul Band is a premier function band playing upbeat and high-energy Soul&Motown, 60s/70s Rock, 80s Pop and Contemporary covers available to hire for any event around the UK.

The Big Phat Rock 'n' Soul Band was created in Manchester over four years ago with the aim of being a unique function band focusing on upbeat Soul & Motown greats such as
Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, whilst also performing classic 60s & 70s rock, 80s cheese and contemporary pop to appeal to all audiences and events. Since then we have performed many gigs around the country to great acclaim and have also catered for weddings, birthday parties, pub gigs, corporate events and seasonal events (Halloween/Christmas gigs etc.).

All members are highly competent, having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music, have a large amount of gigging experience and enjoy what they do whilst
maintaining high levels of professionalism. The Big Phat Rock 'n' Soul Band is unique dues its large size, strong brass section, genre adaptability and various line-up options. We are able to perform all songs in lineups of between 4 and 13, and have many 'deping' members to ensure we always have a suitable band for whatever event we are performing at. We can play for as long as required, provide all our own equipment (including PA system), are able to travel all around the UK and can also offer catered DJ services. As well as this the band also plays in various other forms and can be booked as a jazz quartet/quintet, Irish group, piano/vocal duo, or as an acoustic outfit.
