Danny James is a professional jazz singer/guitarist providing top quality live music for various different events.

A uniquely gifted musician, Danny excels in making every performance truly memorable. His versatility and extensive repertoire mean he can tailor his music to suit any occasion.

Previous Experience
Live performances include touring the UK supporting Alesha Dixon and Paloma Faith playing venues such as Liverpool and Birmingham Symphony Hall and recently playing guitar for Classical singer Jonathan Ansell (G4) and pop legend Tony Christie.

Radio credits include a 'Radio 2 Live Lounge' session with Dermot O'Leary live from Latitude. Marks and Spencer also regularly use Danny for their high profile marketing events.

When performing solo Danny uses high quality backing tracks and live looper to fill out the sound and create the effect of more than one musician playing.

Although Danny specialises in Gypsy jazz he is extreamly versatile and happy to perform more pop based material. When performing pop songs Danny will often give them his own unique vintage twist!!

What are your basic technical requirements?

I can manage with a 2x2 meter space as a solo musician based on background volume.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes I provide my own sound equipment and some basic ambient uplighting if required/suitable.


What information do you require about a venue?

Usually just the address unless there are any specific directions for loading equipment or parking restrictions etc..


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes this can be provided

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I performed at Ronnie Scotts Jazz club which fulfilled a lifelong ambition. This was a charity event which also raised much needed funds for a great cause.


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Django Reinhardt as he is the pioneer of the genre I love to prom the most, gypsy jazz!!

Extensive experience in the music industry over 20 years performing with various bands and as a solo musician

I love playing any gigs

Weather depending yes of course I love performing outside and have a battery operated speaker if required.
