Popularly known as DJ Valencia, this London-based DJ is an experienced professional who relocated to London in 2014. He was a prominent DJ on the Spanish circuit with a burning desire to expand his horizons and further develop his DJ career in the UK.
The brilliant DJ is passionate about his chosen vocation and has a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Ruben harnesses the ability to skillfully and seemingly blend all different genres of music including RnB, Top 40 Chart through to 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s for corporate events and the more commercial gig. He has a very high musical knowledge encompassing a wide range of genres and age groups. His advanced performance technique is due to his dedication to his artisanship. DJ Valencia currently holds residencies at different venues that have a remarkable reputation in the dance club scene in London.
DJ Valencia has performed at many night clubs such as Scala, Troxy, Electric Brixton, Dstrkt, Tiger Tiger, Attic Bar, Piccadilly Institute and Lady Bird among others. He has a very high musical knowledge encompassing a wide range of genres and age groups. His advance technique is due to the many years of dedication to the decks. When he plays, he chooses the right music for every event and is always happy to take requests to gain a good understanding of the musical style you like. He can mix up in any style of music, including 50s, 60s, Funky 70s, 80s, 90s, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Party anthems, House, Deep, Tech, Techno, Soulful, Jackin', EDM, Regueatton, Electrolatino, Mash-ups, and much more.
DJ Valencia is a rare blend of creativity, savvy and has completed a variety of academic achievements such as an Electronic Music Production degree with honors at the prestigious University of West London, Higher National Diploma at City and Islington College of Sound Engineering and a post-graduate degree in Advanced Music Technology.
On the one hand, in the last years, he has been focused on electronic music production creating upbeat rhythms, creating unique synthesized sounds or original sound recordings from musicians. On the other hand, his research for developing new abilities in the music industry and the new upcoming technologies, during his master's he has mainly focused on 3D audio for multiple applications.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue. Also, the times and music selected for the event please.
Yes, I am happy to play music from Spotify before, after, and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music. Always with previous arrangements on the conditions.
I could say Scala for 1500 people, Electric Brixton for 2000 people, and Troxy for 1700 people for the biggest Zumba masterclass in London.
I am open format, so I am influenced by many artists. I like to play energetically on my sets.

I love playing at all sorts of events but corporate/hotel or any kind of event where people would love to listen and dance to the guests! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
Setup takes around 15 minutes to setup and 15 minutes to pack down.
I like to arrive 45 minutes before to check the equipment just in case.
