I am Esme, a singer and singing pianist based in West Yorkshire. I am a self-employed performer, singing and piano teacher, and mum of three.
I am experienced in performing at weddings, private events, and corporate parties across the UK. I have been a professional musician for over 12 years and have a BA in Music with Drama.
I am multi genre vocalist making it easy to tailor every performance and set list to the unique ambiance of any event. I am able to sing in various styles including all popular genres, and also classical and musical theatre. With specially arranged renditions of romantic ballads and upbeat soulful tunes I can create an unforgettable atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for any special occasion. My repertoire spans a wide range of genres, from timeless classics to contemporary hits, ensuring that every guest is captivated and engaged. I collaborate closely with clients to create personalized playlists and offer song suggestions, ensuring that my performance perfectly complements the desired mood and atmosphere.
If you require me to sing and play piano I can attend any event with my portable white baby grand piano, producing not only the perfect sound for your setting but also creating a wonderful aesthetic. I also regulary perform with my fantastic five piece party band ZANG so I am very familiar with how to get a party started! Ideally being able to set up near a socket at the venue is ideal for my pa/piano and a space of roughly 4ft by 6ft if my piano is required for the event.
I provide my own pat tested PA and portable baby grand piano (if required). For evening parties lighting must be requested if it is required snd not being provided by the venue or DJ.
I need to know that there is adequate space at the venue for me to set up my piano and PA (if piano is required). I also need to know what space I will be using and if at any time I need to move the equipment to another room if there will be adequate space and time to do this during an event. If the client would like me to be outdoors with the equipment I need to ensure there is zero chance of rain on the day or set up under adequate cover provided by the venue in case of rain.
Yes I can provide a Spotify playlist before and in between sets provided by the client or myself.
Depending on the event I typically arrive at the venue around two hours before to make sure all the equipment is set up snd I can have a good sound check so absolutely nothing feels rushed. I am aware that sometimes performance times do always go exa tly to plan and that is fine. I am happy to suit the client and I will never book two gigs on the same day that will not leave a very substitial amount of time in between.
I am more than happy to perform outside if there is zero chance of rain. If there is chance of rain I must be able to put my equipment under substantial cover provided by the venue or client.
Clients absolutely have a say in what I sing/play. I have a very extensive song list including 100s of songs for my singing pianist act or singing with tracks. This list is continually being added to and I am happy to take suggestions from clients, especially for a wedding ceremony or memorial service. I can also help them chose arrangements that would work well for certain settings.
Previous clients would describe me as very versatile as a singer, pianist and performer. I have been able to provide them with everything to suit every occasion from relaxed background music in the day to upbeat party tunes for the evening.
