Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I performed as an aerial violinist for the closing ceremony of Shambala festival. I was dressed in gold and flying above thousands of people when they set off fireworks behind me and set a sun on fire behind me. It was a spectacular moment.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I have been influenced by Lindsay Stirling as a violinist who adds something slightly different to her performances and Hilary Hahn as a highly skilled classical violinist.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I am a classically trained violinist and when I decided to dedicate myself to performance as a full time career I realised that I was really drawn towards events and circus. I initially played with a band called the Dukes Box. We were a human juke box where the audience picked a song and we played it. I then created my mirrorball mirror act "Mirabelle" and through exploring costume I began to learn aerial, becoming one of the only aerial violinist in the world. I also perform on stilts, in LED costumes (which I created), write music for events and circus and as a Bubbleologist.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love playing at large scale public events, corporate events, private parties and weddings.
