Fruin Ceilidh Band are a lively fiddle-led band, with driving rhythms to get you up dancing and having a great night!

Based near Loch Lomond, Fruin Ceilidh Band are happy to travel to play at events throughout Scotland, Europe and the rest of the world.They bring a wealth of experience from years of playing and ‘calling’ (teaching) the dances to ensure that everyone can join in and enjoy themselves. Over the years the band have played at many events for people who have never tried ceilidh dancing before and the band enjoys interacting with the crowds and keeping things fun and friendly so everyone has a good time.

• We can play for dancing or background music for all sorts of events including weddings, birthdays, corporate events, conferences, tourist groups.
  
• Weddings – we can play music as guests arrive, after the ceremony for a drinks reception, but also as the bride walks down the aisle, signing the register or as the couple walking out the ceremony.
  
• We can teach ceilidh workshops for tourist groups who would like a taster of Scottish culture. This can work well as a stand alone event or along with a meal, whisky tasting, Burns night or St Andrews event etc.
  
• Our fiddler is a well known composer and for many years has been taking commissions for bespoke tunes in a traditional Scottish style for special occasions, music for wedding videos and business promotional videos etc. You choose the title of the tune and there are lots of options from having the tune written down, framed, recorded or even have it performed at your event - Get in touch for more information.
