We need to be able to perform in an area at least 5m x 4m. We require 2 x 13 amp sockets near to where we will be performing. There will also need to be somewhere for us to store our music cases and personal belongings. Light refreshments will also be required for up to five/six people.

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. Any side/back entrances available so we can unload without disturbing you and your guests is also useful information. We would also need to be informed if there is a sound limiter in the venue so we can plan accordingly when setting up.

Yes, a MacBook is provided before and during the breaks packed with over 2000 songs, or if you prefer, simply give us your iPod/Phone if you already have a playlist you wish to use.

We need 60 minutes to break down the equipment, pack it away and load up the transport.

Yes, as long as it is after our sound check then the PA can be used for speeches.

Yes, we have full public liability insurance and all of our electrical equipment is PAT tested once a year.

We have performed at some great venues over the past year. Some notable ones include the Manor of Groves Hotel in Sawbridgeworth, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes in Central London, Radisson Red Hotel in Heathrow and The Hurlingham Club in Putney. We also had the privilege of performing at Trevor McDonald's son's wedding!

We are influenced by many different artists from many different genres of music. A majority of the band are big jazz, funk & blues enthusiasts and as such influenced by artists such as Eric Clapton, BB King, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, George Benson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder etc. More recent artists would include Jamiroquai, Jamie Cullum & John Mayer.

The band was formed in 2017, however, we have all known each other and have been performing together for a number of years on a variety of projects. Most of us come from the musical theatre world and have been involved together in local Amdram productions with several different companies. Our singers are professionally trained and have graduated from musical theatre schools in London. One of the band members is a professional Musical Director and currently the head of musical theatre at a school in East London.

We love performing at all different types of events. We have performed at weddings, birthdays, corporate events, army events, charity fundraisers, anniversary parties etc. We all love playing and performing music together and have been fortunate enough to play at some fantastic venues over the past couple of years and worked with some lovely clients who have provided great hospitality.

FunXion 5 will travel anywhere in the UK to perform. We are based in London/Hertfordshire but have performed all over the UK.

Yes, we require a 15% deposit at the time of booking.

It will take us about 90 minutes to set up our equipment and sound check. In order to achieve this, we need to be able to park as near to the venue as possible. A typical performance could consist of 2x60 or 3x40 minutes sets, but we can be very flexible to accommodate your schedule.

We are happy to perform outside (weather permitting) and have done so on numerous occasions but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Clients love our diverse repertoire and energetic performances. We often get complimented from clients who book us how they love that we often take solo's, like to jam and have fun whilst performing.

Yes, we are happy to learn one song for your event free of charge. However, don't forget to check our set list on the repertoire page to see if we already know it.

We have three main singers who perform in the band on a regular basis: Leonie, Eleanor and Carla. However, if either are unavailable, we have a selection of other professional singers that dep for us and have performed with the band in the past. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all our performers are of an exceptionally high standard.

Our standard line-up option is a 5-piece band consisting of: vocals, guitar, keys, bass and drums. However, we can add a saxophone to our line-up if this is required for your needs and/or a 2nd singer. We can also provide a light jazz trio or a jazz quartet (including a singer) for when something more subtle is required such as whilst guests are dining/conversing.

Our standard finishing time would be 11:30pm/12:00am, however, if you wish for us to play past midnight, there would be an additional fee, which would need to be negotiated.
