Professional, experienced and wonderful harpist.
Described as "a sensitive chamber musician as well as a virtuoso soloist" by the New York Concert Review, Irantzu is an international harpist that has performed at the World Exposition in Lisbon, the Spoleto Due Mundi Music Festival in Italy, Soka City in Japan, the Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Symphony Space and Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Santander International Music Festival in Spain, the Cristo de Corcovado in Brazil, the Salle Pleyel in Paris and Bath's Fringe Festival in England to cite a few.
Irantzu has played in weddings and events for more than ten years, performing classical, pop, rock, reggae, folk, jazz, musicals and soundtracks music. She will give a special and unique touch to your favourite pieces. She has performed at the Marriott, the Ritz and Plaza hotels in New York City and can often be heard at the Waldorf Hilton's Afternoon tea in London. She has played in corporate events for the Siemens Board of Directors as well as for the former Secretary - General of the United Nations Kofi Annan and private events in and around London. As an orchestra and chamber music player, Irantzu has intensively performed in America and Europe and is a guest principal harpist for the London Video Game Orchestra, the North London Sinfonia, the Watford Symphony and the Richmond Light Orchestra.
Irantzu offers online and live performances. In the midst of this pandemic, she was the winner of the Aixe Getxo Classical and Contemporary Music Award 2020. Irantzu is a PhD candidate in Musicology and holds degrees from The Juilliard School (BM and MM) and she is also a New York University graduate in Music Education. International prizes include: Best New Artist of the Year by the Alive Culture Association, First Prize at the Superior Category of the UFAM International Harp Competition in France and First Prize at the Artist International Special Presentations Awards in New York City.
Irantzu's list of clients include the Ritz, Plaza and Marriott Hotel, Siemens and the Fullbright Grant Commission in NYC and the Waldorf, Landmark and Baglioni hotels, Guy's and St. Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust and Catherine Best in London.
