I need a little bit of space for the kit! Ideally 2m x 1.6m, but this can be accommodated as per your needs (see my photos for examples). I'm no stranger to squeezing into small spaces (or playing very large ones, for that matter).

I use my own in-ears and often happily play to a click (usually monitored and controlled by myself) - it depends on the band's desires. I have a rig of blue lights I usually drape accross the kit to beautiful effect.

Microphone equipment including stands (but NOT XLRs) costs an additional £30. This includes Kick, Snare, two toms, two overheads. However, the kick mic is included as standard, free of charge. If you do require this, please make it clear when contacting me.

I use high quality Tama Superstar Birch shells, a beautfiful Pearl Sensitone Brass Snare and various Paiste and Zildjian cymbals, depending on the nature of the show. The kit always sounds superb and can be tuned as needed depending on the gig requirements. I also own a steel Pearl snare and a Mapex Hammered Bronze Snare.

I can provide microphones for the drum kit if desired (excluding XLRs). I can also drape a set of blue lights accross the kit for added effect.

Absolutely I can. If you're able to provide me with all the recorded tracks (I don't have the equipment to do this) I can mix the music for you for an additional fee. As a guide, it'd be roughly £25 per track, depending on the complexity. This includes mastering.

I'd be delighted to. Getting a great sound is a crucial part of putting on a superb show. To be clear, I don't own a mixing desk etc myself; but I do have considerable experience mixing live bands and have done it professionally on an ad-hoc basis. I would consider this part of the service, I wouldn't charge extra for this. (Please bear in mind however that I can't mix once I'm sat behind the kit!).

My personal favourite gig took place at the B2 Venue in Norwich a few years ago. I was playing in my first ever metal band, the venue was packed and we played a full set of original material. People lost their minds. I've never felt such a rush. I've played to much bigger audiences, but there's nothing quite like seeing people go absolutely wild to your music.

The best venue is hard to pick, but all round it would have to be the Vestry Hall in Cranbrook. It's a huge, beautifully lit hall with vast-sounding acoustics. Neverthless, the sound engineer was a true pro and ensured we sounded fantastic, which can easily make (or break) a show.

Joey Jordison was and still is my No. 1 inspiration when it comes to drums. I'm still a huge metal fan at heart, despite my career not being very metal at all! That said, the greatest song of all time is Sadist by Stone Sour.

Definitely parties (which I suppose includes weddings). The music is always fun to play and people always enjoy themselves and have a really good time... especially after a few drinks!

In a word: yes. However, I wouldn't be comfortable sight-reading cold on the night. I always prepare for all my gigs as much as possible beforehand, usually making my own charts and notes.

I prefer to arrive at least an hour beforehand to allow ample time to set up without rushing. That said, I can do it in half an hour if needs be (assuming I'm playing a full kit).

Absolutely, as long as the ground is level and firm enough to put my drums on and there's cover from the wonderful British weather.

The clients' needs are always top priority. It's not about me: it's about the music and delivering a professional service.

I am pleased to say that the vast majority of people I've worked with appreciate the consistency of my playing, my punctuality, my preparation of the material, my ability to improvise when necessary and, perhaps most importantly, my ability to adapt to the show at hand: a quiet background group playing a sophisticated drinks bash requires a very different attitude and play style from a wild 80s rock’n’roll gig.

I certainly can. Just bear in mind that the samples I have will be limited to the Yamaha DTX range (which includes 100s of different sounds). I won't be able to play custom samples.
