About / Biography

Hello! I'm Lizzie, an experienced harpist for weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, and birthday parties, and I would love to play for your special day.

I can be booked either as a solo harpist, or a singing harpist, or a mixture of the two.

I have an extensive repertoire from traditional classical, and celtic folk, to music from film and TV, musical theatre, game music, and contemporary pop, and can create a unique set-list to set the tone for your event. I create my own harp arrangements of current pop songs, and would be happy to arrange your favourite song for your special day!

I can also be booked to perform as a pianist; if there is no piano available at the venue, I have my own keyboard that I can bring, though I will need to be situated near a power supply.

I regularly perform at care homes and retirement villages and have several different themed recitals available.

I am also an experienced and reliable piano accompanist; I have excellent sight-reading skills and can learn new music quickly.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Parking space
Indoor venues only with concert harp. Smaller harp available for outdoor venues or for more difficult access.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I have a small amp that I can bring to amplify the harp and my voice if needed for large events.

What information do you require about a venue?

Any directions to find the venue, and where to park and unload when I arrive. Also information about access for the harp - is there easy access from the car park, and are there any flights of stairs to manage. If the event is outdoors, this must be discussed at the time of booking.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

No

Frequently Asked Questions

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been playing for weddings and events for nearly twenty years now; I started as a student, but it still brings me so much joy to provide music for something as special as a wedding ceremony.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

A wedding ceremony is always such a special occasion, and couples often choose really personal music choices which makes everything so memorable.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually arrive an hour before the start time to set up the harp.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Possibly; I don't take my full-sized harp outdoors due to potential risks of the weather, but I do have a smaller harp suitable for outside events. However I do need overhead cover to protect from sudden rain and direct sunlight.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely! Particularly for a wedding ceremony, I love when clients choose music that is meaningful to them, and I am happy to learn two new pieces of music included in the price. For the rest of the music, clients are welcome to pick from my repertoire list, or I can put together a suitable set list.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients have said how much it meant to them to have me learn their favourite song for the ceremony. They love that I play so many well-known tunes, and guests have played guess-the-tune during dinner while listening to me play.
