Magenta Soul is a professional live music duo, formed in 1998 by husband and wife Fran and Pete. During their long career, they have performed at restaurants, bars, weddings, corporate and private functions. Their repertoire includes soul, pop and Motown classics suitable for dancing and is performed with live vocals, live bass, and self-produced backing tracks. For parties or for laid-back events the duo plays jazz and soul standards which can be performed acoustically or with self-produced backing. Acoustically, the music is vocally led with guitar accompaniment or, with their high quality backing music, they combine live vocals and upright bass. The duo has honed the art of creating the right ambiance, be it a small dinner party or a larger dinner and dance. They are the ideal choice when stage size is limited and when clients are concerned with volume as they have more than one PA system. This enables the duo to cater to a mellow crowd as well as to those requiring a full band sound on a limited budget. Magenta Soul are professional in their approach to clients and take great pride in their musical delivery. They not only love their music, they love to perform so the client is always given the best that Magenta Soul can give.
