Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I am very compact and need little room as I sit on a stool with my guitar and have a small amplifier next to me. My amplifier is battery-powered so I don't need a power supply. For a louder volume I have a larger amplifier which requires one power outlet.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I provide all the sound. I have no need for lighting.

What information do you require about a venue?

All I need to know is the exact location of the venue.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

No.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I played Wembley Arena in the late 1980's, supporting Level 42.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Beatles, Beach Boys, Chet Atkins, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Erik Satie. Chopin's Barcarolle is the greatest piece of music ever written.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started gigging instrumental covers not long after I started busking, which was in 2010, however I've been playing live for 45 years. I get many people who see me, asking for my business card and contacting me to play at weddings and parties.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Anything! Weddings and parties are great.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I have a very basic set up so it takes me not more than FIVE minutes to set up! I can play anything from an hour to three hours.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Definitely.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

They are usually happy with my repertoire - after all, that is why they have picked me! Occasionally, they will request a song, such as a first dance at a wedding.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Great guitar music that brings back a lot of happy memories because most of my repertoire is quite old, much like the audience!
