Ruby & The Romantics pride themselves on their presentation and carry everything we need for our show including a top quality EV PA system and extensive theatre-style light show. All we need is a suitable performance area (our backdrop is 6 metres so ideally we would like 6m x 3m for performance space and access to 2 x 13A sockets) We also require secure changing facilities and parking for one mid-sized van

Yes absolutely....we have a concert spec 5kw EV PA system and a state-of-the-art fully-automated extensive lighting rig . ...we also have a radio microphone for the client to use for speeches and annoucements

We need to know in advance about any difficult load in issues....mainly stairs and distance from the parking area to the load in doors

Yes we have an MP3 player in our system and normally play era appropriate music.

Performing as support for Martha Reeves and The Vandellas ...A Motown legend but treated us as equals (Which we clearly were not!!)

We all like the Harmony Groups Of The 60's...The Four Seasons, The Hollies, The Seekers, & Motown of course but also the Girl Groups like The Ronettes & The Chiffons. Ruby is also a fan of the 50's girls like Alma Cogan & Connie Francis. Richie on the bass is an old "Rock n Roller" but can play just about anything. There were so many great songs in the 60's that its difficult to choose one. Perhaps Be My Baby by The Ronettes would be a contender?

All three of us are multi-instrumentalist but we all started with guitars in our early teens and its developed from there. We have performed in hundreds of shows in many bands over the years and have done everything from small, intimate venues to supporting Star Names.

We are happy anywhere but we love doing parties for a more "mature" audience as we love bringing back memories for them

Set Up time is around 2 hours from arrival at the venue, and start time normally 3 hours from arrival time, but may be longer if stairs or a long equipment carry is required. Our show can be varied to suit the venue and clients needs. Usual formats are 2 x 45mins, 2 x 1 hour or 3 x 40 mins spots.

Yes but only undercover....the British weather is too unpredictable!!! We do however carry a couple of long extension leads on the van if we need them

No..we are happy to play anything from the list in any order...we can learn a special song if we can get a track for it but we would normally pass on the cost of the track and extra rehearsal time to the client.

People say that we have the "WOW" factor and they are happy to watch us as well as dance.......a very big sound and an amazing lightshow are the common ones.....we also get many comments on our professional presentation and attitude both on and off stage.....oh and that we sing in tune!! .....don't take our word for it....have a read of our reviews page!!!
