Satin Jazz is an energetic and accomplished jazz band fronted by professional jazz singer, Francesca. They have performed together for 4 years and are all conservertoire trained jazz musicians with an extensive repertoire that ranges from sophisticated ballads to upbeat Brazilian samba, gypsy swing, 1920's speakeasy and pop songs rearranged in a vintage style. From Cole Porter to Kate Bush, the band draws from the American songbook as well as pop classics, with a special focus on Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba from Jobim, Gilberto and Vinicius de Moraes. Francesca switches seamlessly from English to Portuguese drawing the varied set together into a sophisticated and streamlined vintage performance.

Performance times - for a typical booking, the band is available for a period of 4 hours including all set up and pack down time. If requested to stay for longer in order to provide a DJ service, an extra fee will apply.
