Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Celtic Connections. It was a privilege to be chosen to be part of this beloved Scottish musical event and to help entertain with an evening of good music.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We both have an eclectic mix of influences over the years including: Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Blondie, Tom Waits to name a few. We both enjoy folk music and always include the staples like Joni Mitchel, Dylan and Fairport Convention. But we both enjoy all music and our set list reflects this with a mix of songs across the genres.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Our experience spans 2 decades individually starting off with open mics, pubs and clubs then branching out to parties and wedding receptions. We have also played in restaurants and hotels creating a background ambience. Jim also writes his own music and performs around Glasgow and beyond.

Any type of event. We love to entertain and get the crowd up dancing and help them generally have a terrific time of it.
