The Swing Stakes are a 10-piece Dixieland/Dance band based in London. Formed in 2016, The Swing Stakes specialise in playing traditional Dixieland, Danceband and
New Orleans music of the 1920s and 30s, mixed in with new and exciting arrangements of pop covers in a vintage style, plus some of our own original music. The band are flexible, every member being a classically trained musician, and can provide package deals, events, or functions. This includes a small band reduction, cocktail piano background, jazz quartet, and classical solos for incidental or entertainment purposes- as well as the full 10-piece party band line up.
The band have performed for many private weddings and celebrations, as well as cooperate events for clients such as Chestertons property specialists and the International Make Music Day, and a number of successful shows in venues around London. The Swing Stakes also offer a bespoke music service – have a song that you are desperate to be played that we don’t have in one of our sets, or have a first dance request? The Swing Stakes will create a unique custom arrangement specifically for your event, crafted by a professional arranger. 1 free song request with every booking, multiple songs available for an additional fee.
