The TH Quartet began in Kingston's Ram Jam Club with the Way Out West Collective – run by some of the UK's top jazz musicians – around 2006 and were the favourite jazz band of the Ram Jam Club's owners who booked the band for a residency in their pub The Grey Horse. And the band's first cd, In Vino Veritas, earned a great review from John Bungey of the Times. Earlier versions of The TH Quartet held residencies at The Embargo Club – 3 years - and the Pheasantry in Chelsea, and at Bar Cuba in Kensington. In Kingston, the band has had residencies at the Cricketers, The Fairfield Tavern, The Kingston Gate, The Honest Cabbage, The Bricklayers Tavern and the Queen's Head where the band played for 3 years before the landlord left. The TH Quintet's current residency is on every Sunday night at the Hand & Flower in Ham, Richmond – recently voted the best pub in Surrey.

The band also plays concerts for Kingston Music Service in Canbury Gardens every summer and for the Kingston Riverside Festival as well.

The current lineup features Tony, who has jammed with Carlos Santana and Chakka Khan, as composer/guitarist along with prize-winning saxophonist Duncan Eagles, Ben – a music lecturer at St Margaret's College – on piano, Max, a house bassist at Ronnie Scott's, and drummer Sophie who can be seen on the BBC and heard on Jazz FM.
