The Kinetics are an energetic and versatile UK function band that has been lighting up dance floors at weddings, corporate events, and private parties worldwide, since 2016!
Formed by a group of highly skilled musicians with a shared passion for delivering exceptional live performances, The Kinetics have quickly become renowned for their ability to engage audiences and keep the party going all night long. OUR VISION:
We set out to provide an alternative to the "suit & tie" wedding band, creating a vibe that perfectly compliments the festival style weddings and those couples wanting a high energy band to rock out with.
OUR PERFORMANCE:
We play 100% live, allowing us to put our own creative spin on everyone's favourite tunes! Our repertoire of over 400 songs covers most genres and guarantees something for everyone.
We will work with you to create a setlist perfect for your occasion and pride ourselves on our ability to read the room on the day to keep the dancefloor full. Our standard playing time is 2 hours, split between 2 sets.
WEDDINGS:
- We will learn your first dance song for FREE
- We provide DJ setlists between and after sets for FREE
- Why not also book our acoustic duo to perfectly compliment your drinks reception or wedding breakfast (additional charge for this service)
- We provide a 4000 Watt PA system and lighting rig to set the scene for your rockstar wedding

Yes! All quotes include our 4000 watt professional PA system and lighting for both stage and dancefloor.
We need to know if your venue has a sound limiter and where we can load in. We will also need to know where we can load in our equipment and if there is parking onsite.
We also ask for a room to keep our belongings and to change, one that has a lock and does not need to be accessed by staff or guests.
Yes! All our quotes include our DJ Playlist Service before the band, between sets and up to one hour after the band (up to midnight).
We can play our own playlists or a Spotify playlist created by you if you prefer.
That's a hard one! The best gig would have to be performing on the Qatar World Cup fanstage. What an atmosphere!
Best venue goes to the St Regis Bora Bora. We were flown over to perform for their New Year celebrations and played to their guests on a purpose-built stage on the beach. A hot one, but what a stunning place!
We formed in 2016 and started out in 5 star hotels in the Middle East and Asia playing 3 hours a night, 6 nights a week (hence our enormous repertoire). We came back to the UK in 2020 and are now Sheffield based, playing weddings and events - and still travelling for gigs overseas when asked.
Any event where the guests are up for a dance! We offer an alternative to the usual "suit & tie" function/wedding band and bring Glastonbury to every gig we play! So we love to get everyone on the dancefloor, joining in!
We always ask for 90 minutes to set up, but often have everything ready to go within one hour.
As soon as we have sound checked, we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!
Our standard arrival time is 5.30pm and finish time is midnight. We're happy to arrive early and play later for a small additional charge.
Yes, we just ask for a flat surface, preferably risers ( we can organise the hire of if you like), a power supply nearby and some shade (in the summer) or covering if there's a chance of rain (gazebo type is fine)
We have a songlist of over 400 tunes so you're welcome to pick out some that you love! We recommend picking no more than 8 to allow us to "read the room" on the night. If you have any specific requests not already on our list, with enough notice we can learn up to 3 included in the fee, or let us know how many you have and we can arrange that with an additional fee.
