We are The True Colours, an internationally-touring duo and 4 piece band that offers day-to-evening live music for weddings and special events, based in the South of England.
Things we love to do:

About Us
We have worked as gigging musicians and artists for many years, and have built up a huge repertoire of songs, from Elvis to Ed Sheeran and Ella Fitzgerald to Taylor Swift and hundreds more. We've worked on events for some amazing brands like Veuve Cliquot, Pizza Express, and Malmaison hotels, featured live on the prime time Andrew Peach Show on ‘BBC Radio Berkshire’, played residencies on luxury cruise ships in the Caribbean, USA, South America and Asia as well as a few festivals. Our acoustic versions can now be found on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and more.
What We Do
We have lots of experience playing all sorts of events. For weddings we offer personalised live music from the ceremony as a duo, to the last dance.
Our fun folky acoustic sets cover favourites from The Lumineers, Taylor Swift and George Ezra perfect for a laidback festival vibe, and our dance-floor filling electric set brings out the indie, pop and rock bangers that are sure to get everyone dancing! Think Florence, Queen, Jessie J, The Killers and The Beatles delivered with a main stage energy. We can cater to country, blues and rock'n'roll fans too, and we include a fully customisable DJ service using our professional sound rig for all bookings.
Mia and Dan can be booked as an acoustic duo as well. Featuring male and female vocals, guitar, and ukulele; perfect for beautiful love songs and jazzier tunes for ceremonies, dinners and drinks receptions. We also take on arranging and recording commissions, and work with our amazing videographer to create wedding 'music videos'.

Yes, we are completely self contained. We provide high quality PA and simple lighting. We are also happy to work with external sound and lighting teams.
We need to know how to access the venue, where we can load in and park. We need to know if there is a sound limiter and decibel limit, we can usually work with these but need to know in advance.
Yes, these can be our playlists or you can provide your own.
We have performed whilst sailing past the Statue of Liberty for a deck party on a luxury cruise ship, such a cool experience!
We love lots of artists and try to throw in a huge mix to our set lists. Fleetwood Mac is a big influence for us, and we think Queen's Don't Stop Me Now has to be one of the best songs for a party!
We started playing in bands from the age of 14, and studied contemporary music degrees. We've been working professionally ever since, and it's taken us around the world!
Anywhere where people want to dance and have a good time! Weddings usually have the best crowds, we love opening the dance floor with a beautiful first dance for the newly weds and then watching as everyone lets loose!
Once we have access to the venue and our performance space and unloaded our equipment, we can get set up and sound checked within 75 mins.
We include up to 2 hours of live music as standard in our bookings, in 2 x 60 minute sets, or 3 x 40 minute sets, extra sets can be added. We can provide DJ playlists through our PA system when we aren't playing. Late finishes (past midnight) and early arrivals (before 5pm) can be added on to the below pricing.
Yes, but we do require cover, a flat level surface and a power supply.
We include a special song request for every event that we will learn if not already in our repertoire. We have a large repertoire so we'll ask you to let us know your preferences so we can craft the perfect set list, we can also take unlimited requests for the DJ playlists.
