The Upbeats Music Duo are an exciting, energetic party duo comprising Rachel Manchester on vocals and woodwind alongside Peter Manchester on vocals and guitars.
Whilst working as Professional Actors in the West End and all over the country, in shows such as: Les Miserables, The Crucible, 20th Century Boy, and in theatres including: the Royal Albert Hall, the o2, the Palladium, the Barbican and many more; The Upbeats Duo have been performing together for over 8 years at Private Events, Parties, Weddings and Corporate Functions all over the UK. For the past 2 and a half years they have been travelling the world performing on cruise ships. During that time, they have worked with a number of well known clients including P&O, Ponant and Windstar Cruises, and are incredibly proud of the 5 star reputation they have built up.
Rachel and Peter are a fun, professional and reliable duo, with a repertoire of over 600 songs, in styles ranging from Jazz Standards to Motown, and from 70’s disco to Modern Pop and Party Hits. Subsequently, they are always ready to play the right music for the occasion; be it wedding, birthday, corporate party or anything else!
The Upbeats Duo are highly skilled multi-instrumentalists as well as professionally trained singers, meaning they perform great covers of all your favourite classics with beautifully arranged vocal harmonies!

We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a small lighting rig.
If it's a difficult to find venue, then directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment are always helpful!
Of course, we do provide playlist music between our sets for free to keep everyone in the mood.
However, if you would like the party to carry on into the late hours, we can provide a DJ service after our performances finish, and simply charge an additional fee.
We've performed at a Royal Variety Show, in front of royalty, onboard the highest-end yachts in the world, but that doesn't matter... If it's your party we care about you having the best possible time and we promise to do all we can to make sure that happens!
We love such a wide variety of artists, from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran, from Motown to Abba, from The Bee Gees to Beyonce... we love to span the decades, but if you want the biggest hits that will get EVERYONE on the dancefloor then book us!

During the past 5 years we've been travelling the world performing on cruise ships and gigging when we've been back home!
From the Royal Albert Hall, to a a Labour club, we've performed at all types of venues. We don't discriminate about our events, and as long as you're up for a party, we can bring the energy and the fun!
Setup Time:
We would require approximately 45 minutes to do our full setup and a very quick sound check.
Performance Times:
We usually perform in 45 minute slots, but can do up to 4 x 45 minute slots in an evening or if preferred we can do hour long sets. Most commonly we perform 2 x 45 Minute Slots for an event.
We’re happy to play outside but if it's in UK then we need cover (just in case!), a level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We love your input! Of course, we have many years of experience and our sets have been honed from countless performances, learning what works best to ensure guests get on the dancefloor and have an amazing time. However, if you have ideas and input, we're very happy to chat through your preferred genres and make sure we find what works for your event!
