When sound engineer and PA system is provided by venue:

- For violinist: Phantom power on mixing desk when using Violin mic (violinist owns her own DPA mic, or can use her "The Band" pickup when phantom power is not possible; pick up uses standard jack lead, for this DI box is prefarable)

- for guitarist: 2 power sockets, 1 mic (Sm57 or similar) when playing electric guitar at larger events. Otherwise a D.I. box straight in to mixer when playing acoustic,

15-30 minutes for smaller gigs and an hour for larger gigs. No setup time required for unplugged performances (roaming gigs etc).
