Choosing the right music for your wedding can be a minefield. We have compiled a list of our favourite songs to make things a little easier for you:
Processional music (for ceremony entrance)
Bridal Chorus ("Here comes the bride") - Wagner
Trumpet Voluntary - J. Clarke
Cannon in D Major - Pachelbel
Signing the register music (interlude music)
St Anthony Chorale - Haydn
Suite from the "Water Music", No. 3 "Air" - Handel
No. 1 "Air" (from Suite No. 3) - J.S. Bach
Recessional music (for ceremony exit)
Wedding March - Mendelssohn
Suite from the "Water Music", No. 5 "Hornpipe" - Handel
Toccata from Symphony No. 5 - C. M. Widor
A good example of Wedding Prelude Music would be 'Moonlight Sonata' by Beethoven or 'Water Music' by Handel. Canon in D by Pachelbel is a perfect example of Processional Music. The ideal Ceremony Hymn would be something well known like 'Amazing Grace' whilst Shubert's 'Ave Maria' serves as wonderful Interlude Music. Good examples of Recessional Music are 'Ode to Joy' (Beethoven) and 'Wedding March' (Mendelssohn). When the time comes for Cutting Cake Music we suggest that you lighten the mood a little and pick something like 'How Sweet It Is' by James Taylor. First Dance Songs which work well are 'Unforgettable' by Nat King Cole and 'The Way You Look Tonight' by Frank Sinatra. For the Last Dance we suggest the appropriately named 'Last Dance' by Donna Summer. For the Mother/Son Dance we suggest 'Moon River' by Andy Williams and finally for the Father/Daughter Dance we suggest 'My Girl' by the Temptations. People usually book an organist for the wedding ceremony, if you are not getting married in a church we can arrange for an organist to bring an electric piano to your venue. For music after the wedding ceremony, you can book a jazz band / function band london and/or dj to play wedding songs at your reception.

Wedding Entertainment has diversified hugely over the past few years with couples often choosing to stray further and further from the traditional to creatively calibrate their wedding reception programme, as well as often adding a touch of modernity to the ceremony. It is a very popular desire amongst couples to 'stamp' their special day at least in some way with their personality.
