I have been playing drums and other percussion since I was 2 years old and have played many types of gigs such as church bands, cover bands, big bands, pit bands, etc. I achieved Distinction in Rockschool Grade 8 drums in 2018 so I can sight read sheet music, as well as graduating from Oxford Brookes University with Upper Second Class Honours in BAHons Music. I am fluent in rock drumming as wel as jazz drumming. I am a very good improviser and up for any genre and anything new. I have recently just finished a three night school production of We Will Rock You, and I am currently working on a production of Evita. I have performed at many pubs across Essex, played at 93 Feet East in London as well as the London Palladium. I also have lots of recording experience and am very comfortable with session work - I have recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Royal Holloway University. I am also very comfortable singing behind the drum kit, I have provided backing and lead vocals in the past.
Equipment Provided:
Transport will have to be arranged if you want to use my drum kit - happy to pay for petrol money. If there is a house kit, I am more than happy to arrange my own transport. I can transport my own cymbals and cajon/ misc percussion.

I have performed at the London Palladium for The Music Man Project in 2015. The best gig I have ever done was at The Bullingdon in Oxford, small crowd but tons of energy! My personal favourite is 93 Feet East in London, it was my first gig in London and has a special place in my heart!
I have been most influenced by a lot of rock and roll, jazz fusion and funk groups - The Beach Boys, Snarky Puppy and Weather Report to name a few. Discovering jazz fusion drumming completely changed my life and opened me up to whole new world of drumming/ percussion. My favourite band is The Beach Boys, they are a very special band for me and my favourite song of all time is 'I Know There's An Answer'.
I started gigging when I was about 8 years old by performing with church bands as the drummer, since then I have performed in schools, pubs, clubs, universities and reputable venues like the London Palladium and The Bullingdon in Oxford. I have also recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
I love performing in smaller venues, the energy that they have is great and it always feels like an adventure.
I normally arrive about an hour before to make sure everything is set up and meet band members etc. Then I can play for whatever alloted time is needed.
Yes - I have done plenty of outside gigs
I am happy to take requests if there is sheet music or is part of a songlist, I am also comfortable improvising and follow directions and cues.
