Colette & Co Jazz /pop ensemble - Retro, elegant, friendly and fun

Colette & Co are a small ensemble comprised of vocalist, guitarist or and saxophone with option of pianist on request. We play as a trio or duo depending on the gig. Our music is mostly retro style covering the jazz standards but also country and pop classics. Colette also sings a selection of songs in French.

We do straight covers of old favourites but like to add a jazzy feel to modern classics . Artists who inspire us include Imelda May, Astrud Gilberto, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, Ed Sheeran, Norah Jones, Adele, Joe Cocker, Dusty Springfield, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Diana Krall, Etta James, Leonard Cohen, and many more. One of our favourite modern artists is Imelda May - we love her style and jazzy, vintage edge.

Colette's singing style - think cocktail lounge, smooth, mellow, jazzy and just a little bit country. Malcom is a talented guitarist playing electric and acoustic guitar, Nick, a fun and inventive saxophone player and Anton - a professional jazz pianist and guitarist with many years experience.

Our vibe is laid back and friendly and we aim to make our audience happy! We like to engage with the audience and make them feel relaxed and entertained. We can learn songs specific to your event, take requests where possible or even lead sing-alongs. We are always on time and professional in our approach to any gig and our client always comes first.

We are very flexible and can provide both beautiful background music suitable to hotels, bars and restaurants or equally be the dance band at a gala dinner. We play sweet country and pop sets suitable to your wedding ceremony but then can up the tempo and play full swing numbers for the reception.

We can easily provide both types of music at the same event, for example acoustic guitar during reception canapes and then dance band music after dinner. This is a great way to cut costs and make organisation easier for the event organiser. We can also host sing-alongs or ask guests to sing with us – giving them the words and mic and letting them shine!

We bring all the necessary sound equipment , we communicate fully with you before your event to ensure your needs are met and we try to accommodate any requests. We are always professional, polite, friendly, easy to work with and engage well with the audience. The most important thing to us is that our customers and audience are happy!
