To ensure the best performance experience, I require the following:
1 x Power Outlet (standard 13A socket) within 10 meters of the performance area
A dry, sheltered performance space (if the event is outdoors)
A small performance area – approx. 2m x 2m minimum
30–45 minutes access prior to performance for setup and soundcheck
Parking and easy access for loading equipment
That’s it! My setup is compact and self-contained, ideal for intimate spaces, small-to-medium venues, and mobile events.
Yes – I provide a compact, high-quality PA system suitable for small to medium-sized venues (indoor and outdoor). It’s perfect for ceremonies, receptions, and private events.
Note: For large venues or events with over ~150 guests, external PA hire may be required (I can help advise on this).
I don’t currently offer lighting, but I’m happy to work alongside your venue’s setup or a third-party supplier if needed.
To ensure everything runs smoothly, I’ll need:
Access time for setup and soundcheck
Whether the performance is indoors or outdoors
Power socket availability near the performance area
Parking/access details for unloading gear
Rough number of guests (to judge sound needs)
Yes – I can play Spotify playlists or your chosen tracks through my PA system before and between sets, free of charge.
This keeps the atmosphere flowing without needing a separate DJ.
Need a custom playlist? I’m happy to help create one.
Yes — I bring a compact PA system that’s perfect for small to medium-sized venues. All I need is access to power and a dry, safe setup space.
Definitely — as long as there’s cover from rain or direct sun, and nearby power if needed. Outdoor sets can be some of the most beautiful when the vibe’s right.
One of my favourite gigs was actually a small wedding in a village hall in the Midlands. Nothing fancy — just fairy lights, good people, and a lot of heart. I played a mix of blues and folk, and when I did their first dance song — which they’d asked me to learn — the whole room just stopped. You could feel how much it meant to them. That was one of those moments where I thought, ‘Yeah… this is why I do this.
Venue-wise, I played at a converted barn out in the countryside once — great acoustics, really intimate vibe. It wasn’t a famous venue or anything, but it just worked. The sound filled the space without needing to be loud, and people were genuinely there to listen. That kind of setting suits my style perfectly — stripped back, live, and honest.
I’ve been influenced by artists who mix great songwriting with genuine musicianship — people like Bill Withers, Norah Jones, John Martyn, and of course, John Mayer. That blend of blues, folk, and soul really speaks to me. It’s music that feels human — nothing too polished, just real.
Without a doubt, John Mayer is my favourite artist. He’s the reason I picked up the guitar properly. What I love is how he constantly evolves — from Room for Squares to Continuum to the acoustic stuff and even Sob Rock. He’s got groove, depth, and can say so much with just a few words… or a guitar solo.
I’d probably say ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’. It’s everything — heartbreak, atmosphere, space, soul. The guitar tone alone tells a whole story. Every time I hear it, I feel something.
I started playing guitar and singing when I was a teenager — like a lot of people, just messing around in my room, learning John Mayer songs and trying to make them sound like something of my own.
I started gigging properly by doing small acoustic nights and open mics around the Midlands. From there, I got booked for my first private party, and then my first wedding — and I just fell in love with the atmosphere of those kinds of events. There’s something really special about playing music that becomes part of someone’s big day or a core memory.
Since then, I’ve performed at a range of events — from laid-back garden weddings to intimate indoor receptions and private dinners. I’ve built a repertoire that works for all sorts of vibes, whether people want jazz over dinner, bluesy ballads at a ceremony, or folk tunes under the stars.
Now, I mainly perform solo with guitar and vocals, and I’ve developed a flexible set that fits both spotlight moments and background ambiance.
I really love playing weddings — especially the smaller, more personal ones where the couple have put their heart into every detail. There's something beautiful about being part of such a big moment in someone’s life. Whether it’s playing a custom song during the ceremony or setting the mood during the drinks reception, it just feels meaningful every time.
That said, I also enjoy more laid-back private events — garden parties, birthday dinners, even little gatherings where people just want good live music without all the formality. It’s in those moments you can really connect with the crowd and let the music breathe.
The best gigs are always the ones where people aren’t just hearing the music — they’re feeling it too.
Yes! I often cover multiple parts of the day — from playing your walk down the aisle to setting the mood during drinks and dinner. I can create a seamless musical atmosphere throughout.
Absolutely. I’m happy to learn one custom song for your event (with enough notice), whether it’s for your ceremony, first dance, or just a meaningful moment.
I perform a mix of jazz, blues, and folk/country. You can pick one style or mix them — whatever suits the mood of your event best. I love blending smooth soul with heartfelt acoustic sounds.
🛠️ Setup Time:
I usually arrive 45–60 minutes before the performance to set up and soundcheck. My setup is compact and self-contained, so I can get in and out smoothly without disruption.
🎶 Performance Lengths:
I offer flexible set times depending on your event needs. Most bookings include one of the following:
1 x 45-minute set
2 x 45-minute sets (with a 10–15 min break in between)
Custom sets available (e.g., ceremony + drinks, or full-day coverage)
🎧 Music Between Sets:
I can provide background music through my PA system during breaks to keep the atmosphere flowing — you can also send me a playlist if you have specific songs in mind.
If you’re planning something unique (like staggered performances across the day), I’m happy to adapt — just let me know what you need!
Yes — as long as there’s a dry, sheltered space (like a marquee, gazebo, or cover), I’m more than happy to play outdoors. I do need access to power if amplification is required, and a flat, safe area to set up gear. Weather permitting, outdoor gigs can be magical.
I’m always happy to take a few requests and work around the vibe you're after — especially for important moments like the ceremony or first dance.
That said, I do have a curated repertoire that works really well for most events, and I’ll help guide the setlist to make sure the energy flows just right. Think of it as a collaborative process, with some room for your favourites.
Clients often say my sets are warm, soulful, and genuine. I’ve been told I bring a relaxed, feel-good energy — the kind of live music that fits naturally into the moment without ever feeling forced. Whether it’s a tear during a ceremony or a singalong during a garden party, people tend to feel really connected to what I play.
My sets are always live, heartfelt, and personal — no backing tracks, just vocals and guitar. I focus on creating an atmosphere that feels relaxed and meaningful, not just background noise.
