We booked Fiddlestixs for our village barn 💃 dance. The were exceptional! The dance floor was full the whole night , having fun and learning the routines under the tutorludge of the caller! Will definitely book them again!

We absolutely loved our barn dance and had the most amazing time!! Thankyou all so very much and thanks again for performing the special song for us to all have a slow dance to, we really appreciated it!!!!! All our guests said how lovely the whole thing was!

I just felt so awful that you didn’t get your platter of food, I’m so so sorry, I promise you it was all arranged and paid for but the pub completely forgot apparently, I was not best pleased!! There wasn’t even enough food for the rest of the guests really as so many more came than we anticipated!!!!!

Thank you to the Fiddlestix Band for an awesome evening of entertainment. The band joined us for a big birthday with 100 guests from ages 2 to 80 years. The music was infectious and they really set the tone for an evening of joy and laughter. The caller was great and the music in between sets was lovely (boy that lady has a voice!). Fiddlestix played a mix of English, Irish and Scottish music at our wedding breakfast in December. Both the musicians and the caller were excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. Many of our guests took to the floor, some of whom had never participated in a dance before. When numbers dwindled at the end of the evening, the band switched to performing Elvis Presley songs which got some of our remaining guests up and dancing. People have told us how much they enjoyed the music.

I cannot thank you enough for you and your band at my mums birthday party, it really was the best night we have had in ages. The effort by all of you far exceeded any expectation I had, never lone anyone else in the room. You didn’t just provide a band for the night, you all provided the entertainment, fun factor, the laughing (the workout!) and provided exactly and way more then I ever expected.

The music was wonderful, jolly, filled gaps , catered to everyone’s ears from ages 2 - 80+ years! You made it easy to follow the dance steps and fun for absolutely everyone, whether they were dancing or just listening to the music.

I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone or use you all again in a heartbeat.

So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for providing one element that made the whole night.

Bryan and I wanted to pass on our grateful thanks for your terrific entertainment at our recent wedding. Your band was incredibly accomplished and we were delighted that you were able to take on the Argentine Tango piece by Canaro that we had specially requested as our first dance , with absolute gusto. We are just away on holiday but wanted to thank you, the band and your fabulous caller for getting our daughter’s wedding reception off to such a great start! We knew we had a few guests who would definitely get up and take part, but to have so many joining in the fun and to hear all of the glowing compliments afterwards was great!
The cheesy disco afterwards was good fun too, but I think partly that was down to the fact everyone had had such a great laugh with their attempts at barn dancing and were keen to stay on the dance floor!

What a wonderful band. They absolutely nailed. Wonderful musicianship, amenable and flexible attitude with my ideas; they simply wanted to do their best to make it as good as they could. They deservedly got great applause from my appreciative guests.
The caller, Geoff, also - for a reasonable extra charge - will entertain the kids and/or do some conjuring. His balloons were a huge hit; children running around having fun so the adults could enjoy the eve without being nagged by bored children. Also, during the dancing, Geoff came out with the occasional witty comment about me and the 'do' that were right on the money.
I just cannot thank them enough not just for making it a wonderful evening, but wanting to make it a wonderful evening.
What can I say? Well, as I started this review: What a wonderful band!

Everyone had a fabulous time at the Ceilidh on Friday night. Most people were beginners at the event but Sarah, the caller, got everyone dancing away. She was very clear, so everyone knew exactly what they should be doing and there weren't too many toes stepped on! It was great fun and the musicians were professional and sounded great. Hi Fiddlestix, Just wanted to thank you and your band very much for a most successful Macmillan Cancer Support Barn Dance event last night. Your band and your caller Geoff kept everyone fully involved all night long and it was a very enjoyable evening in the knowledge that essential money was raised to help people and their families affected by cancer. £1300 was raised last night after all expenses and we feel that was a decent amount.
