Martin, Chloë, Sandy and Natalie performed on our wedding day. The music they performed was truly exquisite.

In the lead-up, they were easy to communicate with and flexible around our preferences, which made the planning side straightforward. On the day itself, everything ran smoothly: they arrived on time, set up without any fuss, and fit seamlessly into the flow of the event.

Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music, which says a lot. A excellent choice if you’re looking for live music that enhances your event.

From us both, we cannot thank you enough. We booked Flux Ensemble for our wedding, to perform for guests arrival, bridal entrance, a guest sing-a-long and the drinks reception. The music was beautifully played on our wedding day and everything worked so seamlessly. The team are full of enthusiasm and made our day so special. There was a lot of effort and prep prior to our wedding day by Martin in order for our day to be so perfect; martin is incredibly responsive, great at bouncing ideas off and even sent us a snippet of a mash-up we were considering (and ended up having for the bridal entrance). This effort didn’t go unnoticed and we are truly so grateful we found you!

Thank you ever so much to Flux Ensemble for playing at our wedding in London yesterday.
It was so easy to communicate with Martin, who is so responsive and kind, and helped us make all our dreams for the ceremony come true - by arranging one of our favourite songs and playing it while I walked down the isle.
So many of my guests commented on how much they loved the live strings duo, it was truly so incredibly special and I cannot recommend them enough. I am so very grateful to Martin and Laura (they even asked me about the colour scheme so they could match their outfits!! Unbelievable).

Martin, Natalee, and Laura from Flux Ensemble played as a string trio for our wedding at The Old Mill, Aldermaston, and they were exceptional. Their performance brought a beautiful and romantic atmosphere to both our ceremony and reception, blending everything from Paramore to Chopin to Howl’s Moving Castle seamlessly. Communication was excellent throughout, and we were able to choose all our tracks from their list along with one special request that they arranged beautifully. Highly recommended.

Flux Ensemble performed at a family celebration and were flawless - our guests thoroughly enjoyed a wide range of modern pieces for the younger guests and some classics for the older ones, and Flux were even able to tailor some pieces for the different ethnicities of the guests. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely use them again. Apart from anything else, they are solid value for money.

We hired this quartet for our wedding, and they were nothing short of phenomenal! Although I didn’t get to hear them play for the full three hours (wedding day chaos!), our guests could not stop talking about how incredible they were. So many people said it felt like walking into a real-life Bridgerton episode — elegant, enchanting, and so beautifully played.
One of the most important moments for me was the bridal procession. I had requested a very specific song, and they absolutely nailed it. It was emotional, magical, and just perfect.
They were professional, talented, and brought such a special touch to our wedding atmosphere. If you're looking for live musicians to elevate your event, this quartet is the one. Truly one of the best decisions we made!

I booked Flux Ensemble back at the start of 2024 for our May 2025 wedding and Martin’s communication has been brilliant from initial booking, up to and after the wedding.
On the day they were absolutely fabulous and we have received so many compliments for them from our guests. The group were super friendly and even dressed to match our colour scheme!
We were able to request songs from their extensive playlist and also managed to get a special arrangement for a new song to them.
I would highly recommend Flux Ensemble for any events!

After deciding to hire a string quartet for our wedding we searched around for the perfect match and came across Flux Ensemble. From our first interaction Martin was so helpful and answered all of our questions promptly - even offering to try and tie in with the dress code and colour theme on the day which such a thoughtful touch. My fiancé and I were able to look through the extensive repertoire and select our own songs for the ceremony and drinks reception - we were spoiled for choice. When it came around to our wedding, from start to finish the music was absolutely perfect and really completed and made our day. We’ve had no end of guests tell us since how unique it was to have Flux Ensemble there and how truly special it made the wedding ceremony and reception. We are so grateful to Martin, Natalee, Sandy and Natalie and hopefully we can find another occasion to book them again soon.

We booked the Flux Ensemble to play for our wedding ceremony and reception. Martin was great at communicating and responsive to emails, and very open to our requests and questions. They made our day very special and we got lots of positive comments about them from our guests.

I booked Martin and Natalie as a string duet for my wedding almost 18 months in advance and throughout the whole planning process and the day itself they were so professional, accommodating and talented. Martin and Natalie learned my partner and I's requested wedding ceremony songs, and worked on a bespoke arrangement for the music I walked up the aisle too. They did it all with enthusiasm and nothing was too much trouble. On the day, their music was the perfect soundtrack to our wedding, and lots of our guests have told me how much they enjoyed listening. Martin and Natalie were also generally a pleasure to spend time with - they were so warm and made time to talk to me, my partner and members of the wedding party. I'm so glad they were part of our day and can't recommend them highly enough.

Flux Ensemble were the perfect addition to our wedding day. From booking through to the end of the event, they went above and beyond to facilitate our wishes. They not only learnt new songs but also arranged pieces of music just for us.
The guests all loved their performance and we had so many comments about how well they complimented our day.

Flux Ensemble were recommended to me by Ben McGettigan at Music Students For Hire and I found our collaboration to be mutually supportive. Flux Ensemble were polite, genuine and kind during our family gathering at West Dean Gardens in Sussex. Martin Ash is incredibly hard-working and had gone out of his way to put together a fantastic playlist that combined genres, moods and memories. Dire Straits’ ‘Sultans of Swing’ was a wonderful nod to family and the rendition of ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ was mentioned by my friends who also recognise Studio Ghibli’s soundtracks. Several of our guests have noted Flux Ensemble and I will endorse them to anyone looking for a string ensemble for their special event. Thank you!

Flux Ensemble performed at our wedding, (Sunday 16th June, 2024), and from organising what music to play, (entrance/exit music, music for the signing etc.), through to the day itself, they were consistently friendly and utterly professional, and were not fazed one bit by our choices of tracks. Flux Ensemble was phenomenal at our wedding! Their music turned our venue into a dreamy fairytale. They played during the ceremony and the reception. They have an endless repertoire! INCREDIBLE!!! I could not recommend enough. We were back & fourth about booking due to being over our budget - but I am SO glad we did. They played me walking down the aisle / our drinks reception and made the day so much more special and memorable, Our guests also loved it! Aside from being insanely talented, they were extremely easy to deal with. Martin who co-ordinated the booking was so helpful from start to finish - he made us feel like nothing was a problem!! Absolutely everything that we had wished and hoped for - Martin was breezy to deal with in organising the day and he and the band were brilliant - they dressed immaculately, completely felt part of our big day and of course the music was simply wonderful.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the Flux Ensemble from start to finish. We hired the String Duo for our outdoor wedding ceremony, which Martin accommodated by bringing a PA system to ensure it was amplified. He clearly worked hard catering the music to my tastes, and our personalities, rather than pushing his own ideas. The result was a sublime, tranquil ambience for the ceremony, which brought a tear to my eyes and those of many guests. It was an unforgettable ceremony. Highly recommend these guys- Thanks!!
