Funk it Up! played two amazing sets at our International Women’s Day Dance in Whitstable in March 2024. They were fantastic from beginning to end! Communication was great before the gig and they were friendly, accessible and professional throughout. They played a wide range of fabulous music which was spot on and had all our guests dancing and singing along. All the band are great musicians but what a coup to have such a fantastic, confident woman at the top of her game on lead vocals, epitomising the theme of this event. We’ve had such positive comments since the gig and I can’t recommend this band highly enough.

We booked Funk it Up! for our wedding this summer & can not tell you how blown away we were by them. They were ALL absolute stars & Funk it Up! was easily the best part of our day - they brought 100% party vibes!

They were an incredibly tight band; every member was an excellent musician & having been a bit of a fusspot about music building up to the day, I could not have been more chuffed. The dance floor was always packed out & the setlist did not let up!

I lost count of the number of people who said to us afterwards how brilliant Funk it Up! had been, with the singer Ginger getting top marks from everybody for her showmanship and 10/10 bringing of the party throughout the set!

If you want a proper old-school 70s/80s funk and soul band for your wedding or function, without the modern cliched Bruno Mars / Uptown Funk type stuff, then Funk it Up! is the band for you!

Ginger was super helpful and communicative in the lead-up - she was able to add a trumpet player to the band's lineup to fill out the sound for us on the night & even kindly offered us the use of the band's PA for an hour at the end of the night after they'd finished playing.

Do yourself a favour and book Funk it Up! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and you will NOT regret it.

I have always been a fan of Funk it Up!. They're always amazing to hear live and they were outstanding last night at Olby's. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart for making by birthday extra special.

Funk it Up! were the perfect band for our wedding! Their repertoire found favour with young and old and guests were up on the dance floor from the very first song! A great energy radiated from the stage as Funk it Up! did their thing! Highly recommend. Best dance band in town!

Ginger and her band Funk it Up! played at my party at The Old Brewery Store in Faversham, having been recommended by a friend. I saw them perform at the Hop Festival and thought "Yes this looks good".
In truth, it was more of a success than I could have hoped for. They created an electric atmosphere with everyone dancing and having such fun.

Ginger’s stage presence was phenomenal, to the point where we could hardly take our eyes off of her. A really talented band that exceeded my expectations.

It has been my Fortune to have witnessed the Fantastic 'Phenomenon' that is Funk It Up! at many a Function. They are Furiously Funky, Fabulously Fun, and, and.... and....OK I've run out of F words? If you haven't seen them, WHY NOT??? They're the tightest funk band for many a mile, perhaps in the world ??❤️

Ginger and her band played my surprise 50th Party and were absolutely incredible. Ginger especially got to know the names of some of the guests and encouraged them onto the dance floor, even my 78 year old Mum! It was a brilliant evening and I would recommend them for any party where you want excellent music, funny one liners and a lead singer with more sass than is technically legal! Thank you for being amazing!

My Birthday party was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Lovely bunch of great musicians well worth the money. The team turned up and set up very discreetly with no fuss, exactly as agreed. They let us play our music through their system in the break but stepped in very quickly to help us when our phone let us down and played great music through their system to tide us over. When they played they blew everyone away. A really great band. I can't wait for an excuse to book them again.

A wonderful professional outfit. We had to change our wedding date four times. The team were calm and professional EVERY SINGLE TIME. Even kind enough to learn our first dance. Nothing was too much trouble. The music alone kept the dance floor full all night but the interaction with our guests at Just the right level really was the icing on the cake. It was so lovely to see people of all ages up and dancing together. A fantastic band such great musicians and an amazing singer.. Everybody said so... I want to get married again. I would highly recommend this band.n. I would highly recommend this band.

Ginger provided the music for my wedding. She arranged a Duo with a guitarist for the champagne toast and then her band played after our wedding breakfast. All of our guests have said what an excellent band they are. They had everybody up dancing young and old. I think my nana thinks Ginger is her friend as she keeps asking me how she is!! Great fun band! Ideal for Weddings and parties.. excellent value for money.
