An absolute pleasure to have Gareth perform for us at our wedding. He is a hugely accomplished organist and knew all of the pieces we requested. He was also incredibly accommodating for last minute changes, which was greatly appreciated.
Highly recommended!

Gareth is absolutely amazing! He happily learnt our song requests for our wedding and played so beautifully for our hymns, during the register signing and while our guests were coming in. His style of playing is so brilliant and his music added so much to the ceremony. Can’t recommend enough!

Once again I am almost at a loss to describe what a brilliant musician and performer Gareth is. His concert for us in Surbiton last night was highly entertaining, varied and interesting, and performed with consummate skill. From serious works on the organ via piano duets (accompanying himself on the keyboard!) to a range of wonderful jazz pieces, Gareth showed his versatility and virtuosity throughout. Not only that, but he provided witty and informative introductions which the audience also very much enjoyed. I may have said so before, but don't hesitate to book Gareth - you won't be disappointed!

I love working with Gareth! He played once again for our Carol Service at St Matthew's on both organ and piano, and was as always totally professional, brilliantly accomplished in his playing and a joy to make music with. I would recommend him unreservedly!

Gareth is ABSOLUTELY superb in every way.

Gareth recently played for my mother's memorial service. He was a complete joy to work with, taking everything we asked him to do within his stride, managing to play quite a wide reportoire beautifully on a not very good organ, incorporating the music mum had written into the service with great feeling and understanding, and even managing to turn 16 people who had never sung together before into a choir in just one rehearsal on the day. His incredible musicality shines through everything he does and it was wonderful to not have to worry at all, knowing that the musical side of things was so beautifully cared for. Could not recommend him highly enough.

Gareth accompanied me at 24 hours' notice when my accompanist dropped out.

With only 30mins' rehearsal he reassured me and gave me confidence to do the exam when I nearly pulled out

His musicianship is outstanding and he thoroughly understood the pieces and played superbly

I achieved a distinction when I didn't think I was going to pass

He is also a truly lovely guy and it is totally down to him that I have decided to continue.

An utterly INSPIRATUONAL and amazing musician

Book Gareth if you can x

I still remember the day I first met him at church, when he stood in for our organist and played the most incredible piece. Since then he has shown me the widest repertoire i have ever seen! He can play almost anything you can think of. He also has done many things like helping me pass my grade 5 bass exam with distinction and get grade 5 theory over with, to helping me get a scholarship. Gareth is an amazing man with an unforgettable personality. His arrangements are always amazing and his compositions even more so. I will never forget the jazz rendition of Für Elise he wrote for my thirteenth. He is an fantastic man and i would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Working with Gareth for the second time was even more of a pleasure than the first. He played for our morning service at St Matthew's Surbiton and was totally professional and reliable, with an exuberance to his playing that really livened up the service! He has a fluency and apparent ease at the instrument which would be the envy of many a church organist. He coped expertly with a tricky organ part in a piece of my own which I can't play myself! As always Gareth was meticulously prepared, and is a joy to make music with. I look forward to working with him again in a few weeks' time.

What an utter professional !! Gareth played for our wedding with 3 days' notice.

He calmed us both and met our every request and more.

His stylish playing is out of this world and truly made our day.

Gareth - thank you from all of us for being a top bloke and musician

We decided to book Gareth after the original organist we had booked to play at our wedding stopped replying to emails. The communication with Gareth was such a breath of fresh air and he really made us feel at ease and took the worry of wedding music away. He played incredibly well and was a pleasure to deal with. The vicar of our ceremony was also very impressed and we would highly recommend him.

Gareth is very responsible and always punctual. He is always willing to help, very committed and is able to give great advice on how to improve musically. We had a great time working with him. We really miss working with him and if anyone needs an accompanist, I highly recommend Gareth.

We booked Mr G at short notice as our church organist was not up to playing the Widor toocata as he said it was an impossible piece on an impossible organ ! meh to that!! Gareth came over to meet us for coffee and then we went to the church so he could play us all the options.

Just WOW to this virtuoso who made the organ come alive with his vibrant, professional and dynamic playing. My Parents have been going to that church for 27 years and said they didn't even know the organ could make those sounds. It is staggering that Gareth is not an international recitalist for he told us that Widor Toccata is actually a small piece of cake which a lot of ORGANISTS cannot be bothered to decipher...before launching into the exit music (Widor) at full pelt, full volume, from memory and with an omnipresent grin as he did it. This man oozes music and personality in bucket loads. He lifted the hymns to a new level and played all our favourite movie songs somehow in the register signing without the old vicar even realising it was happening haha

Gareth is a total professional, thorough, disciplined, experienced and an extremely charming and witty guy as well.

IT IS NO SURPRISE that he has over 120 ratings and fab reviews - he is an exceptional organist and musician and when we met him and heard the first few notes flow from him we knew we had made the correct decision.

Wedding couples PLEASE try and book Gareth if you can - he is a true marvel and as one reviewer said 'the 8th wonder of the world'

Thank you so much G and we will email you some photos from the day as we made sure the photographer took a few of you especially in that dapper tie !!

Gareth we cannot thank you enough for your amazing playing at our wedding last month.

You were so accommodating to all our requests and the advice helped us so much. It was so kind of you to drive for 1.5 hours to meet and chat over coffee and we laughed and had so much fun in that planning meeting.

All our family and friends commented on your amazing playing which really made our day special. Thank you for sneaking in 'Beauty and the Beast' into the signing of the registers music...even though the vicar said "no" ! That was so sweet of you and made us smile when we heard 'our tune'!!

Any wedding couples MUST book this wonderful, superb musician and incredibly personable witty man

His playing is out of this world.

Thanks and keep on touch x

Gareth usually plays once a month at our church services in Dorking - First Church of Christ, Scientist in Moores Road. He is always prompt, very helpful and communicates well with all our members and visitors. His expertise as a pianist, organist and accompanist is at the highest level. We are extremely grateful to have Gareth as one of our artists and would love to have him play our new Clavinova more often!

Gareth thank you SO SO much for your wonderful organ playing at our wedding. You are a virtuoso player and all our guests commented on your amazing playing. You gave us everything we wished for and more with your clever insertion of our favorite theme in the registers. The Saint-Saëns finale was spectacular and we will always remember that grand exit.

We cannot recommend Gareth highly enough - he came to meet us and chat and advise on everything and even proof read the order of service. He kept in weekly touch during the planning and is a truly loving and caring guy as well as a tip top musician. He charges very low rates for the service he provides.

Gareth we will never forget your music, wit, charm and kindness. X

Absolutely fantastic!
Gareth was ultra accommodating and truly made our wedding ceremony with his perfect playing. We met him prior to the day and he was so helpful with regard to our music choices. His email correspondence was fabulous and extremely quick.
On the day, we had so many comments about Gareth's performance including from our priest who was very impressed and may hopefully book Gareth for a church event in the future!
Aside from his general brilliance, he topped my day when he played the Harry Potter theme as we signed the register. It was a tingly moment!
We can't recommend Gareth enough.
Gareth, thank you so much, we will never forget you

Gareth is brilliant! I did a saxophone Diploma a few weeks ago, and my arranged accompanist pulled out just a month in advance, but Gareth stepped in (in spite of an extremely busy Christmas season) and made time to rehearse with me thoroughly and accompany me in the exam. By the time the test came round I felt totally confident and prepared. His accompaniment was excellent, he communicated with me and followed my quirky timings, he responded to emails really quickly, and he's also a lovely guy.

Gareth transposed/re-arranged/jazzed up some music for me to play in a soul band at very short notice. The music he produced was spot on despite having no knowledge of the band or how they played - amazing! Thank you.

I have used Gareth as an organist and pianist on multiple occasions to accompany my choir for both services and concerts. He remains my first choice for those special events that you need to know will be just right.

Gareth is a consummate professional and a highly trained keyboardist. Despite his high level of technical expertise, he is no bore! His personal charisma, charm and musical cheekiness are what bring his playing to life and make him great fun to work with.

Gareth always shows up to the first rehearsal knowing the music inside out and is able to score read choral parts flawlessly, transpose at a moments' notice, and, with one ear always on the singers, he is everything one would expect from a sensitive accompanist. His ability to improvise effortlessly make him invaluable for those all-important choral warm-ups ... and his last verses of hymns always induce a grin!

Gareth is a highly flexible musician and is able to play musically in all genres. He works brilliantly with children, amateurs, and professionals, knowing exactly how much/how little support is needed from him.

A first-rate musician, brilliant accompanist, and a professional, fun and loyal person. 10 out 10.

Linda Park (ACCOMPANIST and Also Performance for patients at local Hospice) 19 Nov 2016

Gareth is a very talented and tecnically accomplished musician.
He can play across all genres ; classical, jazz, lounge music, singalong, film and show music all to a very high standard.
Besides his virtuosity it is what he brings to the occasion in his versatilty, adaptability and own personality that makes him special.
He approaches everything with professionalism. From understanding the brief, programming, impressive playing to personal impact. He can be quiet and remain in the background through to being lively and create fun. He is not put off by requests and can adapt and write his own music.
I first met Gareth when he was the given accompanianist for me as a singer and I was immediately struck by his sensitive and supportive playing.
He then came to play a short concert I arranged for patients at a local hospice. He designed a lovely mixed programme but playing in such situations needs sensitivity to the mood and needs of the listeners, versality as well as virtuosity and the ability to interact with patients and staff.
The overwhelming response was "When can Gareth come again".
I have already booked a return date.

Gareth Giles is the best organist and pianist I could ever have hoped to book for my daughter's wedding at The Church of St Michael in Aynho, Northamptonshire. He is an incredibly talented player and really brought the church organ to life. He went to great lengths to adapt the music to the instruments available and his playing was breathtaking throughout. He kept in touch regularly to offer advice and helpful suggestions and sent the funniest emails I've ever received! Gareth is a thoroughly nice man with a great sense of humour, an infectious enthusiasm and a clear passion for music.

I engaged Gareth to accompany two choirs and soloists in a fundraising concert in aid of Macmillan cancer. He was SUPERB in every way with experience in bringing out the best in all performers from the professionals to the amateurs. In particular, his musicianship, sensitivity, ability to extemporise sympathetically and enhance any performance. Gareth's musical skills have to be heard and witnessed to be understood for how his playing transforms and securely underpins the Music and the people performing. He also accompanied me in a gorgeous flute and piano piece 'song for my mother ' by Geoff Easles. The Jazz style in this piece highlighted another wonderful aspect of Gareth's abilities - to play jazz in a free and effortless way . On a personal level Gareth is also very professional and approachable and reliable . The adult choir for those with learning disabilities were boosted in their confidence and musicality to sing with him too. It was a joy to watch them and they received a standing ovation! Simply FANTASTIC , EXCELLENT, NO HESITATION to RECOMMEND except that he might not be so available the next time I need him !
Thank you Gareth. Veronica Austin- concert organiser .

We were delighted to find GARETH at very short notice (48 hours!) when our regular organist fell ill.

We were so lucky for he replied positively to our request within 10 minutes confirming he could be available.

He liaised with the family and they and we recognise the utter professionality of this man. Together hymns, prelude, a pause for thought musical interlude of Francke's "Panis Angelicus" which wa divinely played.

The hymns were so sensitively and appropriately paced to keep them going (so very important in 'Abide with me' !!!! - -and indeed all the hymns) and lead the mourners and their family and friends.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH CONFIDENT SINGING totally inspired by this amazing ORGANIST.

Gareth concluded the service with a stirring, highly emotionally played "NIMROD" - the WHOLE gathered congregation listened attentively and did not budge until its dramatic conclusion - again, I have NEVER witnessed this at a Funeral and GARETH GILES managed to make our modest Organ sound like a full orchestra with his expressive and deeply sensitive playing.

GARETH - thank you so much. You are a lovely man and a complete professional as well as truly the most FABULOUS organist we have ever heard - and I speak for the whole church community as well as passing on sincere thanks from Diane and the whole family who were so grateful and incredibly moved by your uplifting and glorious playing.

Gareth you are a complete star

We hope to see you again here

STUNNING ORGANIST - we so very highly reccomend booking him for any occasion that asks for an experienced, wonderful ORGANIST

In true sincerity from ALL of us

I met Gareth after having had a fairly comprehensive email correspondence with him, where we had discussed exactly I would like to achieve and what he felt he could offer. It felt very promising, but I knew the moment I saw him that he was absolutely right for this difficult occasion. When he sat down at the organ in the Chapel and rattled off several really wonderful pieces I found out how really special he is and that I had been really lucky to pick him. He had agreed to work with me on a very personal programme of music including a performance of songs with another professional soloist - a mini concert (Purcell and Duparc). The result turned out to be quite stunning with beautifully performed pieces from them both, as if they had worked together for years. Having played various gorgeous pieces throughout, at the end, he gave us his adaptation of Vaughan Williams Lark Ascending which was just beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble and I have received so many letters from people attending who said how much they enjoyed the music that day. Thank you Gareth for everything you did. I would always recommend you, because music is in your bones, you play like a dream and are an utter professional. Frances

I invited Gareth to play the organ for us at our 9.15 service having not heard him play before, and I was certainly not disappointed! The congregation and choir were delighted by his playing, with lovely improvisation before the service and a splendid Wesley Choral Song at the end. I had particularly asked Gareth to accompany a special item in the service, a festive Te Deum setting (by a relative of one of our congregation) which hadn't been performed for 60 years. His playing was extremely accurate, sensitive and thoroughly musicianly, with tasteful backing for the 'unaccompanied' choir moments when it was needed! Gareth is a complete pleasure to work with and took time and trouble to consult with me about the anthem weeks in advance. His calm, generous manner and quirky sense of humour made what could have been a stressful service into a breeze. I would not hesitate to ask Gareth to play for us again!

We were so lucky to find you at short notice and really appreciate the time, care and calming humour you brought to us in our planning coffee.

Gareth Giles is a truly lovely man to work with and made all our musical dreams come true with apt suggestions and help with the detailing of the order of service.

Gareth met with us to discuss all our options and his knowledge and sense of humour is as outstanding as his virtuoso playing.

Absolutely lovely guy and completely amazing musician. Thank you particularly for the Vierne - just W O W !!!!!!!

Gareth, stepped into the breach at short notice, after the church organist pulled out of our wedding. From the first meeting, his excellence was clear. He was reassuring, attentive, and above all very reliable. He liaised brilliantly with my uncle who performed a solo during the church service.

We could not fault his organ performance, and he received numerous compliments from members of the congregation.

We would recommend him to others without hesitation.

Gareth's an absolute gem! We were in desperate need to find an organist weeks before our wedding, as our previous organist had to cancel. I came across Gareth's details and luckily he was available. He came to visit us at my family home where my mum insisted on giving him some of her home made Limoncello :) and even after that he manage to wow us with his music skills, a true talent!

Thank you!

Gareth is so talented at playing the piano, and organ. You don't want to do anything else but sit and listen to him. The movement on the keyboard is so quick, you wonder how he gets the right tunes he plays. Will definitely be booking him again for next year. 10/10 jean

What an amazing organist!

Words cannot portray the mastery this superb musician has over the multi faceted colours of the organ.

A phenomenal technique that is a joy to watch and listen to.

Thank you Gareth for the pleasure you bring to so many with your delightful playing.

Last month I was incredibly lucky enough to see Gareth Giles in concert. I am so very glad I saw this wonderful man perform because I now feel for ever changed by my experience of Gareth. From beginning to end I was spellbound – never before have I experienced such energy, style, change of emotions, playful fun, gravitas – all in one afternoon I simply never wanted the performance to end. I was either moved to tears by Nimrod, excited by the powerful Sabre dance, sent to heaven with 'summer time' and stayed for a while with 'The Summer Knows '.
I won't be happy until I have bought all Gareth's CDs!
...... And if I start talking about his Gershwin I will never stop typing!

Thank you Gareth for this indescribably wonderful experience.

God Bless You

This Concert was absolutely amazing. Gareth was entertaining and informative whilst happy to answer questions between each piece and involve the audience. He is so very skilful in what he does and appears to have a vast repertoire to suit all tastes and genres. I am going to keenly look out for Gareth's other Performances and will definitely be recommending him to all I speak to. I even purchased one of his CDs and it is fabulous!

Gareth was brilliant for our wedding.

He emailed all the options and took the time to come and meet for coffee and discuss further. We really appreciated his considerable experience and that he took the time to come and get to know a little bit about us. He helped us choose the wedding songs and hymns and suggested where to place them in the service. He also proof read our order of service prior to printing.

On the day the music was more than we could have ever wished for and lovely, energetic hymns.

Anyone looking for a real professional with vast experience who goes the extra mile to make your occasion really special should book this amiable and talented guy.

Thanks G - you made our day.

Thank you for playing at our church - I could hardly sing with the joy of listening to this man's fluidity, colout of expression and technical, dynamic mastery of the instrument and all the liturgy played upon it.

Gareth - thank you for making our wedding perfect with your world class organ playing.

This guy has to be met and heard to be believed - anything is possible and he takes so much time to talk through the options and advise.

In the end we could not choose our pre music service item so we had the lot!!!!! a mini organ recital just for our guests to get out of the rain.

The hymns were lively, energetic and executed with utter dynamism, joy and empathy. Everyone sung !

Gareth switched to piano for our register signing music and showed again that he is an utter genius on piano as well as organ - making the ancient church piano sing and sound like a concert grand.

Widor Toccata blew the roof off.

This man stands out a mile in this site and it is a mystery why he is not an international concert performer.

Make no mistakes

Have no doubts

Book this man for any event for organ or piano !! He is truly amazing and a wonderful, warm person as well.

Thank you G and stay in touch

Gareth accompanied my son for his recent violin exam

He makes the whole experience fun and had my nervous and grumpy son relaxed and laughing within minutes during the rehearsal

I was stunned at what this GENIUS and gifted, talented accompanist and teacher was able to draw out of my son in so short a space of time.

He even did work on the aural tests which had been previously refused at home or in lessons and my son achieved FULL marks in that section and a distinction overall !!!

What more can I say ?!!!

He was only predicted a pass and it was Gareth's skills and encouragement that brought out the BEST in the student.

As an ex teacher I recognise Gareth's innate gift for enthusing and engaging the young mind and his accompaniment and musicianship skills are simply amazing.

He was kind, helpful and exceptionally generous with his time staying for over DOUBLE the time for which we had paid to make sure my son was at ease with every aspect of the exam

My son now wants to continue the violin, has been practising and has remembered all the performance techniques and nuances that Gareth has embued.

ANY PARENT reading this looking for a superb and kind accompanist should look no further.

Gareth thank you from Shawn and all of us.

You are a genius !!

Gareth - thank you for again demonstrating your amazing musicianship skills at the superb concert in Claygate the other week.

This man has to be heard and seen to be believed ! Classical, show tunes , jazz, duets (with himself !) and virtuoso, colourful performances showing that this man is a true Master of his craft, equally at home on the ORGAN or the PIANO or in the case of one of his own arrangements, darting between the 2 with energy and an engaging enthusiasm for every genre of music.

If you are looking for an Organist or Pianist or Accompanist for any occasion get in touch with Gareth

Oh my goodness ! What a superb musician and virtuoso organist.

Gareth spent so much time e-discussing all the options for music and hymns and made wonderful suggestions.

He also proof read our order of service as he is an extremely experienced organist and concert planner. It was a good job he did as he spotted 13 errors which we were able to correct before going to print.

He did ALL these extra things and email discussions without any further costs. He was courteous, amazingly PROMPT to reply (usually within 30 mins !!!) and extremely witty in our dialogue.

When we heard him play we could not believe how wonderfully he lifted the music for our wedding

All our guests also remarked on the excellent hymn playing and superb exit music.

We were able to meet him f2f before we left and he is a perfectly charming as well as exceptionally gifted man.

Gareth thank you for sharing your skill, talent, pizazz and flair for our Christmas Carol Service.

Not quite sure how you managed to squeeze so much sound and fanfaral joy out of our little organ but the carols and hymns have never been played or indeed sung (not unrelated!) with such gusto.

Your joyous finale at the conclusion of the service brought a smile to everyone's face.

I hope we get to hear your playing again and cannot recommend this superb organist and musician highly enough for anyone who is looking for an organist - Gareth Giles is the man for the job!!

Dear Gareth Giles

Thank you for the wonderful organ playing at the Funeral the other day. You played with such sensitivity and didn't let the hymns drag at all.

Beautiful music

Gareth Giles is a SUPERB organist who led our service recently with aplomb and at very short notice !

Gareth your choice of tempi, colorful registrations and amazing harmonies for the last verses (! Bairstow, eat your heart out !) coupled with a superb empathy for the poetic flow of the hymnody truly inspired our congregation to sing confidently and rhythmically.

Many members commented on your wonderful extemporisation facility before and during the service and your Rheinberger postlude at the conclusion of the worship was incredible. We have never before heard the organ played with such power, dynamism and virtuosity.

You are a truly gifted Church Musician and we look forward to seeing you again at some point.

Thank you again from the whole community, here.

Dear Gareth,

I was delighted with the superb musical accompaniment and support you arranged and gave me, for my mayoral Civic Service at St. Peter's Church, Chertsey. The musical arrangement and organisation for such a high profile event is critical to it's success, and the response I have received with comments pertaining to the music, organ playing and the organ introduction of the trumpeters is full proof that this was achieved at the highest level.

I can only express again my sincere thanks and trust that many more will benefit from your exceptional skills and professional talent.

I look forward to the next opportunity of us working together.

Gareth - thank you SO much for your playing at my dear late wife's memorial celebration service of thanks for her long, happy life.

You were so kind and helpful with suggestions of hymns and the idea of 'panos angelicus' in the middle like a pause for thought and reflection worked so well.

We were all stirred and strengthened by your rendition of 'Nimrod' at the conclusion and, as you saw - we all stayed right to the end before leaving St. John's ! Such a grand, celebratory and fitting closure for us.

If anybody is reading this and looking for an organist I cannot - and I speak for all my family - recommend GARETH GILES highly enough

Thank you again, sincerely

Gareth - dude , man what a guy !

Thanks a bunch again. Your music was amazing. It was a really good idea of yours to Skype to discuss what we wanted as we did not have a clue so you playing so many 100's of options live for us was absolutely brilliant. It was a real shame we could not meet you live until the day as we has such fun in that long Skype call and your humour and comments had us in stitches ! On the day your playing was exquisite as my Mother put it and Louise found herself entranced when she was meant to be doing the registers as she wanted to listen to the beautiful selection of John Rutter anthems that you had arranged specially as there was no choir.

We cannot recommend this musician more highly for Gareth is one cool guy, lovely to work with, knows everything and plays with command, authority and sheer joy. A lovely bloke and a real professional.
Thanks Gareth for making our planning fun and our day so enjoyable - IF YOU READ THIS BOOK HIM

Gareth played for our daughter's wedding last week and was a wonderful organist. He met with us all and discussed the options over a friendly coffee. When it came to the day my daughter really did feel like 'The Queen of Sheba' and everyone enjoyed singing the hymns. As an amateur musician myself I was bowled over by Gareth's innate musicality and sensitive, appropriate playing and tempi. Widor's Toccata certainly gave our Organ a workout it will remember for many years !!
As a family we cannot recommend Gareth highly enough. He is a lovely man to work with. (ps there does not seem to be a button to give Gareth 11/10 !!)

Gareth was the organist at a civic service at which my brother and I were asked to play trumpet. He met with us, liased with the organisers, provided suitable music and accompanied us. He took the lead with a keen sense of humour, made it fun but was always focused consequently the music at the service received nothing but praise.
Subsequently I have practiced a couple of concertos and other works with him accompanying. He quickly and accurately picked up the music. It was a rewarding and enjoyable experience and I look forward to continuing working with him.

Gareth could not have been more helpful and professional from our first 'planning' meeting to the very end of his entertaining playing at our reception. He certainly went the extra mile to make sure we had the music we wanted. He played the organ in the Church for the wedding ceremony and then rushed off to the reception and lunch venue to play the piano for our gathering guests. My husband is something of a jazz fan and so got on famously with Gareth and they both seemed to enjoy talking through the music we would have throughout the day - Gershwin, Stan Getz and lots in between. Having music at the reception was perfect - it wasn't at all 'wallpaper' but nor was it intrusive which is a very clever trick to pull off! It lifted the whole event to a new level. Thank you Gareth for helping to make our special day such a success - we were perhaps an unusual couple having a combined age over 150 but that didn't mean we were not keen to have lots of fun and smiles and the music was an important part of making this come true!

Hi - Gareth played for our wedding at very short notice.
He met us for coffee to reassure us and discuss all the options.
He was amazing from the get go - a consummate musician and a warm, friendly guy with a wicked sense of humour. After meeting him we were so relieved to have found him and sorted the music. He was totally professional and made our wedding ceremony a very special day to remember. All our guests commented on his virtuosity and sensitive playing as well as dragging the reluctant 'congregation' into singing the hymns powerfully and with an excellent pace.
We truly recommend Gareth to any prospective wedding couples - what a guy ! Thanks G

Gareth played for my late Father's funeral last week. He was sincere, professional and supportive at this difficult time.
His musical suggestions were just right for 'Dad' and everyone in the family and our friends from far away commented on the beautiful organ playing.
I highly recommend Gareth's musical services - he is a genuine, kind man and outstanding musician.

Gareth Giles is an amazing musician. Thank you for coming to our church and leading the hymnody with such musicality and regard for the liturgy within. Your idea to end the service by switching to the Piano and playing Debussy's 'Clair de Lune' was truly inspired. As the evening sun set and the evocative music filled our church there was not ONE whisper - every member sat riveted in their seats to this extraordinary musical treat. This was such a fitting end to the worship and I think a 'first' that all our members sat and listtened and applauded.
Gareth is also an extremely nice person to work with - self-effacing, reserved, a wicked sense of humour but UTTERLY professional in every way. Anyone reading this should book him asap ! WONDERFUL. George

Gareth played for my wedding at very short notice. He is very professional, easy to work with and an excellent organ player. He played some difficult organ music, accompanied a singer and also learnt a piece of music for me at about 48 hours notice then played it brilliantly. Guests at the wedding commented on how good his organ playing was. Highly recommended!

Gareth played at our wedding in Chiswick on 20th June 2015 and we can't praise him enough. We had a church service with two choirboys, Gareth went through the options with us all and worked with the boys to make them feel comfortable. Gareth not just an accomplished musician but a lovely guy to work with. We highly recommend him. Colm and Rebecca.

Gareth helped us achieve a dream. We had discovered a Victorian ancestor had had quite a bit of music published, which we had been able to copy, but not being musicians, we didn't know what to do next. I wanted to have the music recorded as an Xmas present for my husband and found Gareth's details on line. I went to him in early December so it didn't leave much time, but he still managed to learn and record one of the pieces for Colin for Christmas Day, and since then he has recorded all of the music on two CDs for us. From the start he was so helpful and accommodating - meeting with me to look at the music, giving a clear time-scale and cost, and then presenting us with two very professional CDs. His playing is just beautiful, and he explained that as some pieces were songs, he'd had to record the main melody and then dub in the soloist's part on top (that's a non-musical explanation of what I understood Gareth to say!) He went to such lengths to make everything perfect, keeping us regularly informed of how things were going, and his costs were very reasonable for the amount of work involved. If we find any more music, we'll certainly ask him again.

Gareth played for both our wedding service at the Church and then the reception. He took so much time consulting with us about suitable hymns and entry and exit music. We really enjoyed the 'Ave Maria' and Pachelbel Canon during the registers and felt like royalty when we went out to he Widor Toccata !!
How you managed then to shift gear and be playing all those jazz standards on the grand piano at the hotel amazed everyone. You are an inspired musician and a lovely guy - thank you. Marc n Jo

Gareth was a guest organist for a Sunday service when, at short notice, we needed a deputy. He took a great deal of time and trouble to familiarise himself with our order of service and conventions, played the hymns with a real ear for the congregation, and brought true musicianship to the prelude, offertory and postlude. He switched to piano for the sung solo, which he accompanied with real sensitivity to the piece and the singer. The congregation were delighted to have him play for us, and we would have him back in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

Garreth - thank you for your divine organ playing for our service last Sunday. Your leadership of the hymn singing was truly inspiring and the whole congregation was in awe of your extemporisation and voluntaries. Please come again and I cannot recommend Garreth's musicianship highly enough. Thank you again. Dorina

Mr Giles thank you so much for your beautiful serene music at my late husband's funeral service. You were so accommodating with our wishes for the service and I know it was an odd mix of styles ! Thank you for keeping the hymns moving at a good pace and your empathetic accompaniment of the Pie Jesu. With the finale of the film music you gave a wonderful send off to a loved one and raised many a fond smile. I thoroughly recommend Gareth Giles to you for any service or occasion - a wonderful musician. Thank yo - Janice and family
