Hello I'm James Merlin a singer and guitarist based in York who has performed at many iconic venues including The Joseph Rowntree Theatre and Hardrock Cafe. I've even played a surprise proposals in the Yorkshire Museum Gardens.
A former member of Beatles tribute band The Threetles, I bring both timeless classics and modern hits so there is something for everyone.

I need a performance space that is a minimum of 6ft x 4ft. I have my own battery powered amplifier so can perform away from power sockets if required.

I performed solo at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York to around 200 people as a support slot, it was a fantastic opportunity to play original music to a wonderful crowd.
The Beatles. Without doubt the most influential musicians in the last 100 years, if I had to choose just one of their songs - I'd probably go slightly off piste and say And Your Bird Can Sing
I've been gigging now for 10 years it, my very first paid gig came after somebody spotted me busking in my home town of Lancaster and asked me to play at a book event they were hosting.
I love playing at Weddings! It's always such a lovely crowd and everyone is in a great mood
I'll arrive an hour before the start of the set. If needed I can come earlier and set up in advance.
Yes I am happy to play outside provided that it's not raining!
