My name is Jane de Florez.
I am an Experienced Wedding and Event Singer, with classical and crossover repertoire
I sing a wide range of styles, including classical, light opera, religious, secular, classical crossover and West End/Musical Theatre songs, allowing you to choose music that truly reflects the special event, whether a church wedding, civil service or garden party event.
I work closely with you to make your day special, selecting music that enhances the emotion of each smoment.
For church weddings, whether Catholic or Anglican, I sing at carefully chosen points within the service and provide a curated list of suitable pieces to select from. For civil ceremonies, I am equally happy to perform your favourite songs, creating a ceremony that feels unique and meaningful.
If the event is the opening of a new event, a garden party or marking a special day, I take careful notes from you to ensure that I select the right songs for everyone involved.
I am known for my beautiful voice and consistently receive wonderful compliments for my singing. I can perform with the church accompanist where available, or use my own professionally produced backing tracks at civil or private venues.
Above all, my aim is to create an atmosphere that is magical, personal, romantic, and truly memorable, adding a special touch to one of the most important moments of your life.
Based in West London
= areas covered (up to 100 miles)
= free travel (up to 5 miles)
I can sing in a very small space within the church or venue.
If I am singing without any accompanist (whether piano or guitar) I am self-contained, providing my own bluetooth speaker and microphone.
Detailed directions and time to prepare/set up my small amount of equipment. Also the name of a contact at the venue is useful. If it is a church, I would like to be able to meet the accompanist (organist or pianist) before hand.
Yes
This is a difficult choice to make because I am always thinking about the impact that I am making on someone's special day or event. It goes from a wonderful wedding in a glorious church in Buckinghamshire that I sang in - to appearing on Spanish television singing with a well-known guitarist.
Again, this is hard to answer because I have learned so much from different artists - from Michael Buble's wonderful jazz/crossover style to classical singers and skilled Broadway singers like Barbara Cook. My style is very eclectic.
I trained as a singer and actor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. I have appeared in musicals and have sung at many, many different events since then. I am very versatile in my styles and I really try to tailor the repertoire to celebrate the event and to the people who will be there, whether a bridal couple or a special anniversary celebration.
I really love them all. All the events are so different and my favourites are always the ones where people look happy and respond to my singing. Music is so personal and so joyous.
In a church, I would say about one hour before so that I can meet with the organist/pianist to run through the songs before the guests arrive.
In other venues, about 30 minutes so that I can set up my small amount of equipment and change my clothes, if necessary
Yes, providing my speaker and voice can be heard. Maybe not in a strong wind!
Oh yes, always. I always make suggestions for songs and sets. Clients often give a preference on songs and type of songs that they wish to have at the event. I will also learn new songs, if needed.
Joyous and they love my voice and choice of songs.
