Joe was absolutely awesome! We can’t recommend Joe enough.
We got married in August 2025, and Joe covered our ceremony and reception music.
Joe arrived early, and clearly communicated with our venue as to where to set up, timings, and anything else that was needed.
At our request, Joe learned Moon River by Frank Sinatra, and gave us a wide variety of songs during registry signing.
During and after the reception I couldn’t count the amount of times people asked who Joe was, and where we found him.
The music was part of a large tapestry of things going on throughout the day, and we were really happy to know it was great.
We were utterly blown away and wish Joe the very best.

We booked Joe to sing at my husbands 60th birthday lunch. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. It was quite a rowdy crowd but He managed to get heard over all the noise. And then he held the audience with his wonderful voice. We all enjoyed listening to him sing. He was exactly what I wanted and he absolutely made our afternoon. Would highly recommend him.

His performance was flawless. His voice is just incredible and everyone at the wedding commented on how talented he was.
Its unique gravel sound with the most sensual soul is enticing.
The atmosphere it creates, alongside his guitar meant even those that ‘didn’t want to dance’ were dancing and the dance floor was full all evening.
He quite literally made our special day with vibes and happiness filling the evening.
He played songs we all knew, with his own spin on them which made them even better than the originals just because of his voice and skill.
I cannot speak more highly of his talent.
Plus, he is the nicest guy.

We are now wanting to have another party simply so we can book Joe and hear his amazing voice again.

Joe and Kirsten recently performed as a duo for my 30th Birthday party and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. From the first song, they had everyone up on their feet dancing and performing a wide range of songs to suit all of our guests. Their harmonies and professionalism were second to none - would highly recommend and will certainly be booking again!

Joe is an exceptional talent. His voice is incredible and reminded us of many highly successful musicians. He truly made my husbands 40th with his repertoire but also kindly allowing us to ruin his ears with some after party karaoke. Joe performed an acoustic set during the welcome drinks at our wedding on 1st June and it was perfect to avoid any pre dinner lull. Our guests (and of course us!) all loved him and we have heard nothing but rave reviews and compliments. Joe’s voice is honestly amazing and his performance was completely flawless! Joe has been amazing from the minute I contacted him to enquire, he has kept communication flowing so I knew exactly what to expect and when. He came straight from another gig to fit in with our party. He remains professional even when one of our guests wanted to do an impromptu rap in the middle of his set and he has an incredible voice! All of our guests loved his live music and we had the best party. Highly recommend booking Joe if you want live acoustic music with a great voice.

Joe was as brilliant as we expected him to be. Very professional and conscientious, he always got back to me on song choices and playlists. He was brilliant on the day starting later than planned and just being really laid back which helped massively

His voice is amazing, such gravel and soul and his guitar playing was fab! The guests loved him with lots of compliments regarding his singing/playing and many people up and dancing. I could listen to him for hours.

Me and my husband booked Joe for our wedding, he was absolutely amazing! His voice is incredible, he’s extremely professional - always quick to reply to emails, nothing was too much trouble, he really made our day so special. He learnt a song for our first dance for a small fee, we were blown away by it! It sounded better than the original. Couldn’t recommend Joe enough , great communication before the day very helpful ,he also learned some extra songs we really wanted for a very very small fee considering the work that must go into it and that’s before we mention how talented he actually is , would highly recommend to anyone interested and we hope to see him perform again in the future .

I would 100% recommend this guy for anyone looking for a singer, absolutely amazing! Can’t fault him at all. My sister and I planned a party for my dad, and it was quite a last minute decision to book a singer. Joe’s profile on here was the first one I looked at and listened to - what a voice, and plays an acoustic guitar (right up my dads street). We listened to at least another 20 singers and none compared. We certainly made the right choice! From enquiry through to event date, Joe kept in contact, a great all round experience.

For our wedding in South of France, we asked Joe to sing at the ceremony. Words cannot express how wonderful he is. Joe is a very talented singer and guitarist! It was amazing, he has a beautiful warm voice. Nothing is too much for him. In the heat and sunshine he kept on singing. We and our guests got tears in the eyes, he sings so incredibly beautiful! I first saw Joe perform at my son's wedding back in 2018 and was taken aback by how good he was, hence booking him for my own wedding earlier this year. DO NOT HESITATE! I would like to save you all a lot of time looking at 30/40 acts to have at your special occasion. I looked at Joe first and compared those 30/40 others to him and none came close. Joe's voice is nothing short of exceptional! I do not say that lightly either. I do not want to make this sound like the"JD appreciation society" but I honestly believe if you book Joe you will be able to say " we had Joe at our doo" to all your friends when he if famous. Apart from the obvious great voice and beautiful guitar ability, Joe is one one the nicest lads I have came across in my lifetime, nothing is too much trouble and everyone at our wedding absolutely loved him. Even the staff at the venue asked me about him and I was told the kitchen staff were "singing their heads off" as they worked. As the covid restrictions meant a small gathering for us, we are having another party later in the year and will most definitely be having this exemplary, insanely talented young man with us again and I feel very privileged for that honour. From the moment I heard Joe sing, I knew I had to book him for my daughter's 30th birthday meal! From the minute he started singing to his final song, he had us all hooked, his choice of songs was well thought out and complemented the venue setting perfectly. It was lovely to see people singing and dancing along to his music, 10/10 doesn't seem to due Joe any justice! A born entertainer, and I can guarantee that we will be using Joe for any future family events. After searching and searching we came across joe, and we couldn't of picked anyone better than Joe. His talent speaks for itself. I cannot praise joe enough, the communication before our event was informative and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. He learned 3 of my husbands favourite songs to play on the night and they even had a bit of a jam at the end where my husband played the guitar and joe sang, it was wonderful.
I loved every minute of the set that i saw/heard, being the host of the party i had to be here there and everywhere so couldn't just sit back and enjoy listening to joes fabulous voice however from the feedback i had from the rest of the guests they loved it to.
We took a few of joes cards and handed them out to our guests so we hope to have the opportunity to see him perform again in the near future and i would not hesitate to book him for any events/partys that we might hold to.

We were absolutely blown away last night by the amazing Joe Doonan. Joe has an amazing voice that just captured everyone in the room. Not only that but he is such an approachable guy and a pleasure to be around. We could have listened to him all night. We have no problems in recommending Joe for any event and cannot wait for him to visit York again when we will most definetely be there to watch.

Joe was just fantastic in every way. From he moment I contacted him, Joe went above and beyond to learn some of my Husband's favourite songs and songs that mean something to us as a couple / family. essentialy, Joe and I came up with a play list together. My husband was bowled over that one singer could perform Bruce Springsteen and Franky Vally equally as well. He played classic Irish ballads, country classics and bang up to date accoustic tunes. We have a few singers in our friendship group and Joe was a great sport in entertaining requests on a whim.

Above all, Joe is extremely talented. He's a fantastic and agile musician with an exceptional vocal ability. I would highly recommend if you want a personalised, bespoke and flawless performer. Until the next time we have an opportunity to book you Joe!

We listened to over 100 artists trying to find someone who fitted our vibe for our wedding. Someone who liked our indie rock type of music, and would be happy to learn a few songs especially for our day. Then we found Joe. From start to finish he was communicative, nothing was too much trouble, and he travelled all the way to Snowdonia to do our wedding. Joe agreed to play acoustic guitar instrumentals during our ceremony as we wanted a ‘live’ atmosphere, and then came to our reception and did a further 2 x sets in the evening, singing and playing live. Not only is Joe a fantastic singer, but a genuinely nice and down to earth guy. What an absolute pleasure to have you as part of our wedding day Joe. This guy could seriously charge an awful lot more than he does, but instead he remains affordable to appeal to all audiences. Highly recommend! (Needless to say, superb voice and guitarist! Such a talented and cool guy!)

Joe is an incredible talent and covered our event in a splendid manner. Nice and clear communication ahead of it, he agreed to play exactly what I suggested from his repertoire. Quick setting up and soundchecking while the guests were already coming in, he started off and almost suddenly he became the focus of the moment. His deep, bluesy voice was a pleasure to hear.

I would highly recommend Joe, he was very professional from the first time I contacted him. Prior to the event we requested a few songs that were not in his repertoire and he was very obliging in making sure he brushed up on them. I booked Joe to help me with a proposal I had planned for my girlfriend. Joe was easy to communicate with and very accommodating for what was a pretty unusual event for both of us. Despite me being stressed, making a few random requests and even sending Joe to the wrong location, he remained calm and helpful throughout it all. Joe managed to learn a song on really short notice and I can't believe how well he performed it. On the day he exceeded my expectations, performing a small acoustic set and each song was brilliant. I booked joe at short notice to perform at my sons wedding on anglesey. He as brilliant, totally professional and reliable. He listened to exactly the atmosphere the bride and groom were hoping to create with his music, he sang and played beautifully to entertain the guests and even did a lovely rendition of elvis "cant help falling in love with you " as the bride walked down the aisle. Joe is consistent success at our events. I regularly book him in for a Friday night slot to entertain the guests in the bar area. All feedback I have received regarding Joe has been highly positive and guests always enjoy his nights at the microphone, and feel included in the fun.
