At minimum we require space for an electric piano keyboard, two mic stands, and a speaker.
We can be entirely battery powered and thus placed anywhere inside or outside. (If outside consideration for adverse weather must be considered)
Yes. We are completely self contained and can be entirely battery powered on request.
We require directions, a suitable place to load our equipment and park our vehicle.
Yes we are happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets, and allow use of our PA system for announcements etc
We especially enjoyed playing at Hackney City Farm for a wedding reception including a special song request to make for a really memorable afternoon.
The great jazz singers of the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s have been influences. We also love throwing in a few Disney classics of the era like the Bare Necessities.
Music has always been a huge part of Lee's life. After a promising career as an orchestral viola player was cut short due to illness, Lee developed a love of singing. Since forming her trio she has been stunning audiences vocal performances in venues such as the Plaquemine Lock in Islington, as well as at private events.
Dave Marlton has had an enduring love for the sweet mellow tone of the clarinet, particularly the bass version, for over 20 years. He plays and sings in a range of lineups.
The backbone of the band, Rob Stutterheim, has nearly 40 years' experience working as a professional pianist in countless musical collaborations.
We've played at weddings, birthdays, garden parties, restaurants and pubs. We love creating a joyful atmosphere whatever the event or the venue.
It's a contra clarinet, the lowest member of the clarinet family. Normally only found in large orchestras, the innovative use of an internal mic has allowed Dave to bring it out of that specific environment and share its many charms with the wider world.
For performances within London we typically arrive an hour before, but are happy to negotiate different arrival times.
For a 2 hour performance we typically play 2 sets with a 10-15 minute break in the middle. For 3 hours we include a second break and a third set.
We are very happy to adapt our times to fit the schedule.
Yes. We are able to be fully battery powered so can be placed anywhere. We appreciate consideration being taken for inclement weather in order to protect our equipment from damage.
Along with our regular material, we have a large repertoire of jazz songs we are able to perform on request.
With a little notice we can do adaptions of almost song you care to mention.
