Mac the Sax was absolutely incredible! He played at my Mum’s 70th birthday and he really made the whole event. Everyone said how wonderful he was and lots of people asked me for his details after. Nothing was too much trouble, he even agreed to stay late to let my Mum say a few words using his microphone. He gauged the tone of the event perfectly and it was just all so effortless and professional.
I couldn’t recommend him enough and will certainly be booking him for any events I host in the future. Thank you so much Mac!

Mac the Sax -- Kevin McMahon -- played to perfection - at my birthday celebration lunch yesterday at The Chequers at Well in Hampshire.
He helped create a lively atmosphere and managed to get most of my guests up from the tables and start dancing to his finale in the restaurant !!

We booked Mac for my daughter’s surprise 40th celebration yesterday and he was fantastic. He certainly added that special touch to the occasion and I would thoroughly recommend this extremely talented sax player to anyone who wants to impress their guests. As my daughter arrived at the event (which was outdoors in beautiful weather) she was overwhelmed at the sight of all her family and friends but it was seeing Mac standing there playing the saxophone that reduced her to tears (of joy!).

Mac performed at our wedding reception at Gate Street Barn and he was amazing; he is such a talented saxophonist & added something super special to our day! All of our guests thought he was fab & he chose a perfect selection of music to perform.

Kevin recently played at our wedding during the drinks reception and was absolutely amazing! He created the best atmosphere and all the guests loved him… So talented. First heard Kevin play at another party, thought he was so fab I booked him for my sisters Hen Do. He totally smashed it and everyone had an amazing time. He read the room and showcased his talent across two sets. Would for sure recommend him dupe any occasion and hope to book again!

Kevin played last Saturday at our son’s wedding both quietly during the dinner and afterwards in the bar area. Despite it being a very small wedding with only 26 guests the music inspired people to get up and dance.
Kevin played a beautiful selection of music for all tastes and our only regret was that we hadn’t booked him to play for longer.

We hired Kevin to play at a very intimate private marriage ceremony in Knightbridge and he was absolutely fantastic. He created such a classy atmsophere for our guests to walk into as they arrived at the venue, playing all of our requests (and many other jazz standards) beautifully. We also asked Kevin to play a more unusual classical piece, 'Parce mihi, Domine', as my bride-to-be and I walked into the ceremony room, making the moment all the more special. Again, he played wonderfully during the lunch that followed, and was sure to play softly for the benefit of our guests so as not to extinguish their conversations with his playing. We would absolutely recommend Kevin; an excellent player and a truly nice guy. We'll certainly be keeping him in mind for future events.

Absolutely brilliant is probably an understatement to describe how good Kevin was / is . He travelled down from London to Hythe in Kent to play in the sunshine for us and delivered a two hour set of Jazzy soulful tunes that were exactly what we wanted - a great cross section with tunes from Grover Washington - Wilton Felder - Marvin Gaye - Luther Vandross etc etc - Kevin is easy to get on with , very approachable , has a laid back but very professional approach and I would recommend him 100%

Kevin was fantastic leading up to and on the day of our event, with great communication and reassurance of what we needed. Having the joys of English weather Kevin had to continuously jump between indoor and outdoors and yet it didn't affect his performance in anyway. Playing many great tracks and providing us with a fantastic backdrop of music for the day, also interacting with our guests and playing tracks when requested - including an impromptu Happy Birthday with great energy. I would recommend Kevin to anyone looking to hire a saxophonist, not only is he talented but he also comes with the great Irish charm, making him an absolute pleasure to work with. One of our guests loved him so much that they suddenly decided that their garden party in a few weeks just wouldn't be complete without Kevin and booked him there and then.

Kevin made all the difference to the afternoon, he was a delight to cmmunicate with from start to finish, understood perfectly what music would best enhance the event and played tirelessly and extremely good-naturedly for a whole three hours with only a couple of short breaks. He really makes a wonderful sound - a huge pleasure to sit down and listen to attentively quite apart from creating a great background atmosphere. Everyone really enjoyed his playing and all his new fans hope to be able to find an occasion to get him to come and play again soon!

Kevin performed at the drink's reception of my daughter's wedding at Cain Manor last Saturday. We were very lucky that the sun came out just in time to enjoy an outside performance. Kevin knew the exact ambience we were trying to create. People milling around, chatting and being photographed whilst Kevin played his soulful music matching the vibe perfectly. There is something about the sound of a sax especially Kevin's sax at a wedding!!!

Kevin joined us for my best friend's 40th birthday party on 2nd Sep in Cotswolds, he responded very quickly to my query from this website and luckily he was available on the date. He arrived to the venue very timely for set up and discuss how surprise is going to be as his music was the surprise for the birthday girl. He was travelling from London , we very appreciated his effort. We loved Kevin's music, he had a very nice selection of songs kindly including some of our choices as well. Dinner was at a pub, he changed the whole atmosphere with his saxophone, played for 2 hours, we just did not wanted him to stop!! He blended very well with the group (about 30 people), they all asked me how I found him and noted how beautiful his music was. His choice of music was well thought for dinner time and intervals. We hired Kevin to play smooth jazz at our corporate event last week and he was absolutely fantastic. He wooed the crowd on our central London open roof terrace with soft, melodic tunes that helped define a great evening. He is not only cool, friendly, and easy to work with, but also is also flexible and with very reasonable rates. I cannot recommend Kevin more to other event planners for all occasions!

Kevin played for my 50th celebrations last night 13 December 2014, he was utterly AMAZING. When I originally made the enquiry, I imagined that it would just be Kevin, but to my surprise, his colleague and pianist Steve, was available too … the music was FABULOUS. What genuinely lovely guys and such talent. They exceed all my expectations, in fact they blew them clear out of the water. We hosted a garden party for around 50 people a few weeks ago- Kevin was an absolute highlight. Fantastic jazzy, swing music. He and the pianist form a great duo and really added a layer of sophistication to our afternoon on the lawn. Very friendly and very easy to work with - just showed up on the day with the right equipment, got set up quickly and got cracking the rest of the afternoon. Would definitely hire again. Kevin was absolutely amazing at my recent 50th birthday celebrations. He played brilliantly on a beautiful steam boat on The Thames and everybody loved him. We weren't even there when he arrived, but he was all set up by the time we did get there and fully entertained our 70+ guests as they drank in the sunshine. Kevin played fantastically at a recent garden party in the City for 120 guests. Absolutely professional, starting up as the first guest breezed in and even accompanying my husband, whose birthday it was, in some sort karaoke (not to be recommended but that was the singer not the sax!). A charming man and we couldn't have been happier with his performance.

We booked Kevin to play at my birthday celebration (ca 35 ppl) and could not be happier. Everybody was enjoying the music and people kept asking how we found Kevin. Kevin & his "Swing Odyssey" performed for our even at the Savoy Hotel in London This July. The Professionalism of the Band was Excellent. They looked and sounded Fabulous, we would defiantly book the band again.

Kevin performed at our 25th wedding in September anniversary and he was a huge hit with all our guest's.

Mack created a brilliant atmosphere at our daughter’s wonderful wedding in the sunshine last weekend- we loved how he led all our guests from the little chapel through the trees to the Castle like the Pied Piper- he created such a fun vibe!
Our guests loved the chilled music and he happily played a request from one of our cousins. We would highly recommend him!
