Incredible energy keeping everyone on the dance floor all night. So many of our guests made a point of complimenting us on the band choice. James always also so accommodating and responsive to our requests to personalise to what we wanted as well which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend!

We hired the Marvellous Souls for our wedding evening. One of our biggest concerns when wedding planning was that no one would be dancing on the dance floor. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The dance floor was full all night thanks to the amazing talent and engagement from the band. Each member is incredible at what they do and they are such genuine lovely people.
We went with the 6 piece band and it was a perfect dynamic, the band played so well
together. We also hired the DJ who created a great atmosphere before the band and kept everyone dancing after the band finished.
The wedding venue even said it’s the best band they have ever had at the venue!
The communication prior to the wedding was first class and we were immediately put at ease and felt well taken care of.
They were very organised, professional and everything went very smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Would 100% recommend booking The Marvellous souls if you are looking for talented musicians, a good time and professionalism!

We hired ‘The Marvellous Motown Souls’ (10 piece) for our wedding. My goodness, this band are awesome! They were first class from start to finish. The communication from James when planning was outstanding. They learnt multiple additional songs at a request without additional charge. They even accommodated my terrible singing on stage for one song. Our venue commented on how polite and helpful the band were when they were setting up their equipment and instruments. The full and polished sound they produce is quite simply First Class. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish. So many of our guests have commented on how fantastic the band were. Guys you really made our wedding reception super special and we are so very grateful to you. If you are searching for a wedding band then you really can’t do any better than The Marvellous Motown Souls.

This band are amazing, they played our first dance live which was a lovely start to the evening. They play a wide variety of music from Motown to current songs and played requested songs. All in all they made our day really special. We highly recommend.

The Marvellous Motown Souls played at the Overgate Hospice Garden Party and they were absolutely amazing. They are so friendly and accommodating and had people up dancing throughout the set. I also saw them perform at a friends wedding prior to this and I didn't leave the dance floor once! Great band!

We had The Marvellous Motown Souls at The New Packhorse in Westgate,Bradford on Saturday 9th March,I also booked the band in December,they went down really,really well,in fact i actually booked the night of work myself to come and see these guys for the first time....Firstly it was really nice to meet them face to face,absolutley lovely people,Secondly ,brilliant at getting the crowd involved,Lizy is so energetic and professional,and the rest of the band just gel so well together,Thanks for another great night.......Highly recommended...Thankyou.

My days one of my favourite bands! There fantastic and play a bit of everything! Had them for my sisters 60th birthday they were fab!! Definitely would recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls!!!!

We had the pleasure of The Marvellous Motown Souls perform for our charity fundraiser event last weekend. I can only use the words professional and amazing to describe the band. I have booked bands before that simply turn up and play, but Liz gives so much more than expected prior to the event. We met for coffee and she brought a sheet that covers everything you could think of in order to make the event run smoothly. This included working out the custom setlist to ideas for the band raising money on the evening. The band did a bid for joining the musicians as their 7th member playing percussion, this worked a treat and raised an extra £200. You can tell the members are all friends and love what they do. Fun, energetic and they make guests feel at ease. I should mention that Max provided DJ for when the band was not playing which was also brilliant, but the band performance was the highlight of everyone evening. I will be booking Liz and the band next year and I can't recommend enough for any event. They will adapt to perfection. Thank you again Liz. Rich

I booked the 6 piece band and DJ for my fathers 60th, I looked at many bands and struggled for choice. It just so happened a friend of mine had seen The Marvellous Motown Souls at a wedding. This prompted me to book and im so glad we did. Liz was professional from the start and not a detail was missed. On the evening Liz basically coordinated the evening. Making announcements and making the party flow smoothly. Our son and daughter wanted a go on the drums which was no problem and they played the tambourine too, having loads of fun. The DJ (James) was always happy for requests and made sure nothing was missed. We met beforehand and James asked if there is any music we like, we requested older music and then more dance songs to end the evening. We were handed glow sticks and the band finished with their 90s medley, then the DJ took over and carried on with a dance set which was brilliant. This band goes far beyond just playing some music. What a great set of people to have as part of your party. 110% recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Really really pleased we asked these guys to play at our conference, the atmosphere was amazing and they played a great range of different songs to suit all music tastes.
Having Lizy and the guitarist interacting with us on the dancefloor added that extra little bit of fun to the evening. The comments from our guests have been incredibly positive and we will definitely be looking to have these guys join us again in 2019.

The band played at Jeremys boathouse, brighouse for my boyfriends 30th suprise birthday party. What can I say... Really friendly group and very personable going above and beyond and getting my boyfriend involved and up on stage ! Great singers/musicians with a fab selection of music enjoyed by all age groups at the party...the floor was filled. Thanks so much guys for making the night one to remember! Xxx

Absolutely AMAZING! would recommend to everyone! Lizy, James and the Gang were just fabulous helping us celebrate our wedding in style! The kindness, support and talent was all outstanding and we’ve made some great friends! nothing was ever too much to ask and they created memories for us that will never be forgotten. You guys were amazing on Saturday. From the gorgeous acoustic set on the decking to the live sets in the teepee in the woods. You got everyone up dancing, we had an amazing time and we cannot thank you enough xx

Had The Marvellous Motown Souls at our wedding 4/08/18. From start to finish they were outstanding! Superb singing and professional throughout- even knew the crazy dancers names after 5 minutes which made the evening even funnier! We met with lizy around a month ago to go through the set/songs and our first dance. Everything was 5* and as part of are wedding planning, we knew we had nothing to stress about once we had booked our band. I REALLY couldn’t recommend them enough and want to thank each and everyone of you! The personal touches you added for us re. The simply the best song, and the first dance song was just perfect! We will be coming to Jeremy’s to see you again in the near future! You have a few new fans here :) well done and thanks again, love Steven and Frances xxx

We booked the band 2 years ago to play at our wedding last night(18-08-18) and from first contact to finishing their set last night everything has gone so smooth. i asked liz if the band could learn a song that is very special to me and my family which they did without hesitation and absolutley smashed it. The variety of music performed was brilliant and each and every member of the band is amazingly talented and very professional. These guys played a massive part in our big day and we cant reccomend them enough awesome people who put on an awesome show everybody has told us how good they were. A brilliant day and night was had by all and The Marvellous Motown Souls are massively to thank for that.

What can I say about this fabulous band.. They performed at our wedding in February, 2018 and were amazing..

Had an amazing evening last night at the Craigland Hotel IIkley brilliant vocals and cracking band , good choice of songs and talented musicians.

Lizy and the band played at my 50th party at home. They were all absolutely awesome and could not have done any more to make my party really fantastic. All the band were really lovely from the minute they arrived to the minute they left. Lizy is a fabulous singer and I would recommend anyone having a party to book them!

These guys are absolutely amazing! I was a delegate at a work event at the York National Railway museum and loved every second of them performing. I'm just kind of gutted I have already booked someone for my wedding entertainment otherwise I would have been all over these guys! Book them - I am sure you won't be disappointed!

WHAT A FANTASTIC BAND!!! I really couldn't recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls enough to anyone - nothing was too much trouble and they were so accommodating! They play a whole range of different music to suit all tastes and we even had a music medley quiz for our event and were blown away to learn they actually learnt how to play each song! They have a great chemistry together and you can tell they really love what they do, so if you are looking for a hassle free band that bring a whole lot of energy, fun and dancing to your event, look no further than The Marvellous Motown Souls!

We hired The Marvellous Motown Souls after hearing 2 of them at a wedding fair. From then on I thought they were a great band but also lovely people which was important to us. We even went to see them at another event to show the parents. The acoustic set during our wedding breakfast was just right and they went the extra mile for our bespoke first dance which they put together for us which went down a storm with our guests. We really appreciated the recording before the wedding we so we get it just right. We would highly recommend this band and me and my husband had many compliments about the band and the music they played

The Marvellous Motown Souls performed for the 2nd year running at a charity ball I organise. I can honestly say I wouldn’t even think about asking anyone else. They are such a fabulous band. They are versatile professional and so very helpful. Lizy has the voice of an angel, and the interaction with the guests is brilliant.
I know I sold tickets for the event because they were playing. Thank you for helping make ICE Ball 2017 such a success xx

The Marvellous Motown Souls added that extra funky vibe to our company Christmas party this year. Really easy to work with, I was more than happy to let them select their own playlist for our event. They were so good, I particularly enjoyed it when the guitarist came onto the dance floor playing his guitar solo. That was lots of fun!!

I would 100% recommend anyone to use these guys for any event. They are super versatile and really up for it! Its really clear that they love what they do!

Liz and her band played for our wedding in Halifax, we saw four members perform at a wedding fair and knew we wanted them for our evening reception. We booked the 6 piece band, requesting a few songs which they were happy to do. All our guests had so much fun and we are extremely happy we did not have just the DJ that was booked with the venue. It really broke the evening up nicely and Liz got the crowd going from the second she picked up the microphone. The songs were sent to me a few weeks before so we knew what to expect and we were really happy with he choices. All songs people know from Motown to modern pop. I recommenced the band to anybody who wants a party. Definitely an amazing wedding band. Thank you for making the end our day so special.

This band are the real deal. I have never known a band put so much effort into a party. James was like road runner in speed with replying throughout and everything you need was covered by him, we were left with no worries on the entertainment front. On the day the band came in good time to setup, their equipment is ridicules compared to what I expected, the sound system is so clear and lights are brilliant. I watched the soundcheck while I was also preparing things and when I heard the final result I knew the evening would be amazing. Song choices were just spot on, Liz can sing anything and they actually ended up playing for about two and a half hours as people just wanted to keep partying. I booked them for a couple of hours originally. I will conclude by saying James and his band deserve every penny they get, they will do a proper job and are all around down to earth people and brilliant musicians.

Amazing band! You really did make our wedding yesterday more amazing than we ever imagined! Thank you so much!

Many thanks for opening our first ever Mamas and Papas Summer Charity Festival - you really "Got The Party Started" and helped us raise a whopping £2800 for the For Get Me Not Children's Hospice. You hit the mood perfectly with your song selection and your enthusiasm bought the whole party to life. Many thanks and as it was such a huge success we hope you will join us again next year.

I can't thank and praise Lizy and the band enough for their performance at our wedding 2 weeks ago. They provided an acoustic set for the arrival of our day guests, full 6 piece band sets throughout the evening which included all the classics and DJ set to the close. She also did a cracking job of customising our first dance song 'Simply The Best'. Lizy sent me a recording of it beforehand too which helped me get my hubby practising before the big event! Because we had a marquee we had to arrange most of the suppliers ourselves and were worried how we would keep events moving throughout the evening..e.g announcing first dance/cake cutting/dinner served etc etc.. sure enough Lizy took care of this too with sheer professionalism. We had several reassuring calls/texts before hand too which helped ease co-ordination between other suppliers.
One wish for our wedding was that was that our dance floor would be full all evening and sure enough thanks to Lizy and the band it was! Could not recommend enough. Thanks again!

The Marvellous Motown Souls performed at our afternoon tea held to raise funds for the NSPCC at our local golf club. They were excellent and created the perfect atmosphere for the event.

The Marvellous Motown Souls played our wedding and absolutely smashed it. We had old classics, pop favourites, slow dances and head bangers. I would describe it as dance floor rocking, glow stick throwing, inflatable guitar weilding, music madness! The whole dancefloor was packed from the start and we've heard nothing but great reviews from all our guests. Thank you so much for including our random requests and making it a night to remember. Stacey and I will be recommending you guys to all our friends and hopefully we'll see you soon!

The choice of band proved to be the perfect one. I booked five musicians to play swing and jazz for while our guests were dining. Little did I know a family member had arranged a special song close to me and my wife to be performed at the end. Everybody joined us to dance and the band went into some Motown songs and everyone kept dancing for an extra half an hour. I am so grateful to James and the band for their efforts. Brilliant musicians, but it goes beyond just playing music, they care about fine details to make your event special and were so charming with guests and family members. I had everybody comment on the entertainment and I personally recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls!

Liz played with her guitarist for our drinks reception at Northorpe Hall. What a lovely atmosphere it set for everyone there. The songs were perfect and the sound in the barn was great. Liz really did go out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us and we would have happily paid more than we did looking back. We had seen the full band and wanted to book them for the evening reception but they we're not available, gutted! Reviews go a long way these days and Liz deserves nothing but a glowing one as I could not fault anything at all. Such nice people to have as a part of the day. Lizy and Toby performed at our wedding at Thorpe Park at the end of May. From the moment I met Lizy at a wedding fair I knew I wanted her to sing at our wedding. Lizy is an amazing singer, has a lovely personality, she is friendly, professional and completely put us at ease (which is difficult to do with us). Our wedding day was a wonderful day made more so by having such fantastic performances. All our guests commented on how wonderful the music was from the singing during the drinks reception to the acoustic duo sets in the evening. Lizy and Toby were fab, fab, fab.

This band is not just a band... it exceeds every expectation you have. You guys made our wedding look good. You were fantastic everyone loved you. Great communication throughout and fantastic atmosphere. Love you guys!

I booked the guys for a charity event I was holding and I have to say they were one of the highlights of the night. Not only are they incredible musicians but they are exceptionally professional too plus they had the crowd up on their feet dancing from the moment they struck the first chord, which is just what I had hoped for. All the feedback I have had from the night has been about the incredible entertainment and how everyone loved them. Lizy the singer, interacted with the guests brilliantly and made them all feel very special. It was a great night made even more special by this fabulous band.

We couldn’t recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls highly enough after we booked them to perform at our Enchanted Ball this October. The whole band were professional and sounded brilliant, the dance floor was always full and we would definitely book them again to entertain our guests at a future event. I am delighted to say that we raised £10,000 from this year’s Ball which we are delighted with. This really will go a long way in helping us to continue to provide our services here in Yorkshire to anyone affected by breast cancer. Thank you so much!

We have a firm reputation for having some of the best party function bands on a Fiday and Saturday. The Marvellous Motown Souls are up there with our top acts and always have people dancing. They get here early enough to setup some very impressive lights, its not just the band you get, its a party atmosphere for sure. Liz is great with the crowd and always goes out of her way to make it special for any birthday or hen parties we have in on the night. The sets are kept fresh each time and they often play acoustic as an extra for free if the mood suits which people love and we appreciate. We would recommenced booking this band with no question, lovely reliable people and a pleasure to deal with. :)
