About / Biography

I sing a mix of classic and contemporary jazz, from the smooth, smoky sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone to more modern favourites by artists like Caro Emerald and RAYE. My setlist spans from the golden age of jazz right up to today, blending vintage charm with a fresh, soulful feel.

Over the years, I’ve performed at a wide variety of events—including with a big band, weddings, military balls, wedding fairs, lunches, social clubs, private functions and care homes - always tailoring my performance to suit the space and the crowd. Whether it’s elegant background music or a more engaging, atmospheric set, I aim to bring warmth, style, and a touch of nostalgia to every occasion.

Perfect for afternoon teas, soirées, vintage-themed events, or simply adding a bit of sparkle to your special day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

There have been a few; singing at Castle Combe Race Track with a Big Band, at a New York-themed Army Ball as a lounge singer, at a vintage-themed festival in a converted airstream caravan!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

It’s hard to choose a favourite, but I’d probably say Ella Fitzgerald. Her phrasing, tone, and effortless charm never fail to inspire me.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve performed in a variety of pop cover bands over the years and I’m currently part of a country duo called Buckaroo. I started gigging simply because I love to sing -it's always been a huge source of joy for me. Over time, I realised that sharing that joy with an audience is something really special. Whether I’m performing jazz, pop, or country, connecting with people through music is what keeps me coming back to the mic.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

A busy one! Don't mind what, but a big crowd is fun.

What kind of music do you sing?

I sing a mix of vintage jazz standards and modern jazz favourites, with a focus on elegant, feel-good tunes. My set includes songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Doris Day, Norah Jones, and more—perfect for creating a relaxed, stylish atmosphere.

Is your music all vintage or do you sing modern songs too?

I love the charm of classic jazz, but I also perform more contemporary jazz and soulful covers to keep things fresh. Think Etta James meets Norah Jones, with a touch of Latin flair and the occasional modern twist.

What kind of events do you perform at?

I’ve sung at weddings, vintage-themed parties, afternoon teas, military balls and Armed Forces events -anywhere that needs beautiful background music or a touch of vintage glamour.

Do you perform with backing tracks or live musicians?

I perform solo with high-quality jazz backing tracks, which gives me the freedom to bring a full, rich sound while keeping the setup simple and flexible for all kinds of venues.

What makes you different from other singers?

I bring a warm, personal style and tailor every set to suit the event. Whether it’s soft and romantic or upbeat and swingy, I love creating moments that feel intimate and timeless.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive an 1hr before, set up, get changed (if needed) perform for 45 mins, 15 mins break, then 2nd set of 45 mins.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes - under a cover though please if it's wet.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

A little as long as it fits the event/the set style :-)

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

They say I have a beautiful voice (which is always such a lovely thing to be told) and I create a lovely atmosphere.
