The music was perfect!! Very talented musician. All requests played and these were last minute and the encouragement to get all on the dance floor by Phil for Summer of 69 was truly memory making and soo much appreciated. As soon as we saw Phil's showreel we knew he was the person we wanted to play at our wedding. From the first moment I messaged Phil asking his availability he was just so polite and accommodating. Anything I asked for Phil made sure he would fit that into his set. We had Phil from 12-7 and the whole way through he was just fantastic. The variety of songs he played was perfect for all ages at our wedding. He was great with our kids and even come to set up and hour early and came over to congratulate us. Phil is just such a lovely guy and has an amazing/diverse voice and we received so many compliments from our guests. We cannot thank Phil enough for being as lovely and good as he is. Will definitely be recommending him to our friends when they need a musician.

Not only is Phil a fantastic musician he is a very kind man. Weddings never run to time and Phil was very understanding of this. He also learnt songs for our booking which really personalised the session for us. We had lots of comments from our guests about how great he was. We are very grateful for his role in our wedding day and we genuinely thank him from the bottom of our hearts.

Phil provided the music for my 50th birthday party. He made the night a massive success! His singing and guitar playing was fantastic! Everyone loved him. Many friends and family have commented on how much they enjoyed the entertainment and how fantastic he was. Many were up singing and dancing and didn’t want him to leave. I wish he could have carried on. We would still be there now! The music was also at a level where you could just sit and chat if you wished and still be able to hear. He is a lovely friendly person and was very punctual. I recommend Phil highly! You will not be disappointed!!

Phil's performance was excellent, his vocals and guitar playing were first class, he has a lovely personality and made the occasion a memorable experience. He was totally self sufficient, with good quality equipment, and was more than happy to fit in with our needs. I would definitely recommend him, and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.

Phil sang for us at our Wedding on the 30th June 2018, he is absolutely terrific. He learnt our favourite song, The Sound of Silence by Disturbed, not an easy song but he smashed it. All of our guests really enjoyed listening to him as much as we did. He is a really lovely person too, we were so lucky to have him to make our day all the more special. From the first contact I made with Phil to arrange my Dad’s funeral service it was a pleasure, as Phil was so very professional, caring and sympathetic. Phil provided my Dad with the best ‘Goodbye’ ever. From the requiem service In the Church to the reception Phil was excellent - best vocals and guitar playing, in very sad circumstances. Everyone commented on how well the day had gone and this was due to Phil’s skills as a musician and performer, as well as being very charming and friendly (great personality). Phil understood the type of celebration I wanted and put together an absolutely wonderful day from start to finish, something special to remember Dad and his life. I cannot recommend Phil highly enough, so don’t look anywhere else as I know Phil is the best you will get for whatever event you are planning…well done Phil and thank you.

Phil was absolutely fantastic from first contact making the arrangements until the gig had been completed. Everybody who came to his performance has given him 10 out of 10. My event was a 50th Birthday Party and Phil had the whole room on its feet. We have had so many compliments about Phil- a total professional who certainly knows how to make a Party go with a bang !! No one wanted the party to end - every track was fab and Phil’s voice was wonderful - we would definitely book him again!!

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday weekend with a group of family and friends and I wanted live music for the first night, as a way of gathering everyone together. I had heard good reviews of Phil Short Acoustic, and through personal recommendation from a trusted friend, so I went ahead and booked him.

I absolutely could not have made a better choice! Phil was more than accommodating with the song choices I had, and had some fantastic suggestions of his own. He was so friendly and professional throughout my booking.

On the evening of the event he had set everything up for the performance without any intrusion on either myself or guests. His performance was amazing! He played a fantastic selection, with some brilliant surprises, and encouraged people to sing along and even took requests.

He absolutely brought everyone together and started the weekend celebrations on fantastic high. I cannot recommend Phil highly enough – book him, you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I wanted a singer/acoustic guitarist for a joint “significant birthday" party. Having invested a fair amount to get the right location, we wanted the event to feel as special as possible.
