Me and my wife got married last week and enquired with Matt through hitched 6 months prior to our wedding.
From the get go we knew Matt was the right fit for us and we were definitely right, he set the tone for the whole morning/afternoon. We have had so many compliments about how beautiful the atmosphere he created was. Most importantly, we felt like it was completely and utterly us, the music matched our personalities and how we wanted to feel on the day. Matt played us perfectly down the aisle, he made us both feel calm and present in the moment, taking everything in to our own personal soundtrack. If we could do it all over again, Matt would be there!

Matt played at our wedding breakfast in December and it was an absolute joy to listen to him, it made the wedding breakfast that extra bit special.

Matt was a joy to work with, from the 1st initial conversation, right up to the performance on the day.

We had a few song requests, and Matt made sure these were played along with many other songs he played so beautifully as well as taking requests from a few family members during the wedding breakfast.

We contacted Matt desperately looking for a pianist who was flexible with good vibes. We'd contacted a lot of other pianists but nobody else was able to offer what we needed - until we found Matt. Our wedding day was exactly how we pictured it thanks to Matt and his amazing talent. He played our aisle song perfectly, played alongside our singers during the drinks reception (he didn't even know which songs they were singing), and played a beautiful set during the wedding breakfast. Friendly, polite, funny, responsive and ridiculously helpful. Nothing was too much to ask, we asked for a range of songs from blink 182 through to jordan Davies and taylor acorn and literally nothing was off limits. Every song was played beautifully and really added that extra special, personal touch to our day. Cannot recommend Matt enough, absolutley amazing. Thank you for being part of our day!

Matt is fantastic and we couldn't imagine our wedding day without him. We booked Piano Matt for our wedding on 1st August and from the initial quote all the way through to even after the day, he has just been incredible. Such a great guy, lovely to be around, so friendly and so supportive of our crazy music taste! We gave Matt a huge list of songs we would like to be played, alongside the important ones for the ceremony and it was such a diverse mix but nothing was too much trouble and Matt was amazing and so talented. It was so lovely hearing so many of our favourite songs that we have never heard in the piano version, so many of our guests commented on how brilliant he was! He even checked in with us about what would be suitable for him to wear, as well as offering a helping hand on the day, he really went above and beyond and helped in creating our perfect wedding day! Absolutely Fantastic! Piano Matt was fantastic during the lead up to and on our wedding day. Nothing was too much to ask. He created a completely bespoke package for us and was so adaptable, understanding and responded to our messages very quickly! He was amazing and we had so many compliments about his music on the day! He sang our first dance song and it was magical. I would 1000% recommend him to anyone thinking for an amazing pianist.

A pleasure to work with. We knew from the beginning of our wedding planning that we wanted a pianist for the day, I contacted Matt and he was very quick to respond and transparent with his pricing. We discussed the music we wanted for our wedding and Matt even sent over some videos of him playing those pieces. He was very easy to communicate with and incredibly responsive to emails which always puts you at ease. Matt learned some new pieces for our ceremony music and was incredible, having him play our ceremony music meant me and my bridesmaids didn't have to think or worry about the music timings- Matt worked his magic and put sections together seamlessly. We had many guests comment on how beautiful the music was. You can tell from the get-go that Matt takes great honour in being a part of your wedding day, the ceremony music we chose was incredibly close to our hearts and you can see he put a lot of effort into making it perfect.

Having Matt play at our wedding was an absolute joy and made for beautiful listening! The songs for our ceremony were mostly all new to Matt but were all played faultlessly and it made our ceremony even more memorable! 100% recommend for any event not just a wedding!

Perfect Piano Accompaniment To Our Day
After our original supplier having to let us down for personal reasons, we were really concerned about choosing an alternative option. But right from our first call with Matt, we knew we'd landed firmly on our feet as he listened to our ideas, suggested things that would work well and was completely chilled whilst talking to us. Over a few months, we had plenty of back and forth over email as we shaped our final ideas for the ceremony and drinks reception, he was open to every suggestion and delighted to be able to have some freedom to add his own tweaks or our playlist. He worked with Rachel to get the perfect aisle mashup of Abba songs and then wowed our guests during our drinks reception with the extensive collection of music played, from all genres from traditional Irish to Indie, pop to rock and everything in between. Matt is a skilled pianist and incredibly down to earth. We're delighted we were able to work with Matt as he helped to make our day the best ever.

We booked Matt to play piano for the ceremony & reception at our wedding this year, & he played a huge role in making the day so brilliant.

We contacted Matt initially when looking for a musician to play at our wedding, & were blown away by how keen he was to make sure our experience was exactly what we wanted.

What we liked most was that Matt took the time to really understand what we were looking for, & we feel like he definitely understood us & matched the "vibe" perfectly. We put together a list of songs which Matt played beautifully (including some unorthodox choices!) & all of our guests commented on what a great addition to the day it was.

Matt is also a really lovely guy & our guests who spoke to him all commented on this - he even took some requests during the drinks reception, so he stayed flexible even on the day!

Finally - his piano set up looks really sleek & would fit well in any theme of wedding. It looks great without being too over the top. We didn't have a huge amount of space but Matt's electric piano fit nicely into both the ceremony room & reception area.

In summary, booking Matt for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Great value for money & a brilliant overall experience. We would 100% recommend Matt as a great addition to an event, & would happily book him again.

Book Piano Matt for your event ?
From the outset, Matt was the friendliest, most helpful person to connect with. Having recently planned and celebrated his own wedding, he was immediately offering support and reassurance in so many areas beyond our expectation! Matt is so incredibly friendly, positive, and flexible, even helping us out with a last minute talk on Zoom on a Sunday evening when we got into a deadline panic.

Then there's Matt's talent - the love that he has for his craft is huge, and the way that he understands music and the piano is astonishing. Matt offered to learn a custom setlist of classical piano interpretations of our song choices, which was the most incredible thing. Just a couple months before the wedding, we asked him how much notice he would need from us to send him the full list of songs we'd like, and whether we'd left it too late. His response was to shrug and say 'if a tune can be hummed, then it can be played on the piano - there's only so many chords'! I wish I could have that level of confidence and knowledge about anything in my life ? we sent him our (pretty mammoth) playlist, and he said he'd do what he could to work on them and get them perfect - and he really truly did.

With Matt playing throughout our welcome, our ceremony, our drinks reception and our wedding breakfast, there was such a great amount of time for us to enjoy him soundtracking our day, and we would have loved to be able to just sit and listen to more of him!! Our guests, from grandparents to 3 year olds, all absolutely loved the magic that Matt created for us.

There's been no end to the comments from everyone about how much they enjoyed Matt's music. From the moment guests began arriving, he was playing and creating a brilliant atmosphere. And not only was his performance itself fantastic, but his willingness to learn our custom playlist meant that our guests could guess and recognise piano renditions of songs referencing memories, TV shows, films and comedy - it was truly a highlight of our day!

Thank you Matt, for *everything* you did for us in shaping our day, from learning a playlist of 60+ of our weird song choices, to recommending new music artists based on our tastes, and even by bringing along a microphone and PA for us to use for our speeches. We had such a joyful day, and you helped to build it for us. We're so grateful, thank you!

Don't look anywhere else for your live music!

Initially we had planned our ceremony music to be a Spotify playlist played through the venue's facilities. We are so thankful to have found Piano Matt! We saw him at a wedding fayre at our venue (Arley House) and remembered him playing Robert Miles - Children. Having come in under budget and seeing a post Matt was tagged in at Arley House, we did some more research. We were pleased to see that Matt was very reasonably priced and contacted him, interested in him performing at our ceremony. My husband and I are big music lovers and there was a loose music theming to our wedding. We wanted something unique and gave Matt what some may call a bizarre brief for a Pianist...britpop, 80s, 90s dance. We also had a request for Ozzy Osbourne Crazy Train as guests were being seated due to a loose family tie and it being the Aston Villa entrance song. Who'd have thought this was possible on a piano but Matt smashed it! I'd always wanted Pachelbel's Canon to walk down the aisle to but also loved I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts. Matt suggested a mash up of the two and boy did he deliver. I'm a bit gutted I missed the guest seating background music ? I love Harry Potter, hubby loves Star Wars and again, Matt's pianist mash up skills stuck again! Utter perfection!

Matt was polite, professional and so down to earth from the moment we first started communicating. The video call as part of the planning process was a great way to 'meet' Matt and discuss 'us' and what we were after to make our ceremony truly unique.

Matt, it was a pleasure having you perform during our ceremony, thank you for making it so special for us. Nothing was too much to ask of Matt who even helped with the errand of chasing down my maid of honour for my bouquet for our professional photos. Great responsiveness and just a great guy!

What a star !! Matt was booked to play background music at my Birthday garden party. He arrived early, suitably attired and had devised a playlist that perfectly matched the occasion. Towards the end of his set we experienced heavy rain which threatened to ruin the party. Matt agreed to play on for an additional hour taking requests from guests and allowing the budding stars amongst us to perform renditions ranging from semi-professional to downright hilarious. Matt's flexibility and extensive range saved the day and we will definitely be booking him again.

Fantastic Wedding Pianist. Could not recommend Matt enough, the music was excellent. It made the day extra special and we received lots of comments from our guests complimenting the music. Matt was really helpful before the day in helping us to choose the background and ceremony music.

We booked Matt for our wedding in March 24 (which we have now cancelled due to going abroad instead) but honestly Matt has been amazing throughtout the process. His communication is fantastic and he really took the time from early on to get to know what we like so he could incorporate that into our day. When I notified Matt we were cancelling and the reasons for doing so, he has still been just as interested in us and our plans and really lovely and understanding. Matt lit up our wedding in The Cotswolds in October 2022. I cannot recommend this guy highly enough. He's friendly, professional, and above all; extremely talented. I feel we pushed the boundaries in terms of our fussiness on what we wanted Matt to play; a mixture of classical and contemporary. Not only did he nail the playlist, but also played a key role in helping us to understand how we could further tailor it. Matt also had to work alongside a busy schedule of others, working with them to make sure our day ran as seamlessly as possible. I don't know where to start when it comes to 'Piano Matt' - as one of six Matts at our wedding, his nickname well and truly stuck! From the moment we first contacted Matt, he could not have been more friendly or obliging. He is so talented and such a lovely guy - Matt is a joy to have as part of your big day, from the planning through to wedding itself. He transposed my processional music which was truly incredible and so special. Well what can I say, absolutely amazing!!! From the moment we hired Matt he aways kept in touch with our music choice, venue, times. You just felt that he really cared and nothing was too much trouble and the talent!! Wow Matt can certainly play!! And we didn’t make it easy for him with our song choices bless him. We hired Matt for our sisters wedding drinks reception, very last minute. He got back to us right away with a response and his availability. Matt was unbelievable; He was very accommodating to us due to a change of plan on the day with our schedules running late! We had originally booked Matt for 2-3pm but this changed last minute and Matt was completely flexible with this which we appreciated so much. He was very welcoming towards the guests from what we had seen and heard. He was flexible with this performing, with 1 guest asking him to play the James Bond theme tune ? He also learnt a bollywood song for us and sent us over a recording of this to keep which we loved so much as because we were so late with everything on the day some of us had missed the time to enjoy this time ☺️ He even took part in our dress code.
