We recently hired Richard for our boxing event, and he was absolutely incredible. He performed two high-energy sets that perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the night. What really stood out was his professionalism yet exciting layer to the event that our guests are still talking about. Would highly recommend.

Richard is a fantastic musician. We hired him to cover the music for our traditional Filipino wedding and he delivered. His music completed our ceremony and he provided excellent entertainment during our cocktail hour. I would love to work with Richard again if given the opportunity. Thank you Richard!

We booked Richard to play during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and he truly created magic. Several of our guests were brought to tears due to all the emotions the music evoked. This was honestly the highlight point of the wedding, as it enhanced every emotion and moment. I could not be happier and more grateful.
Richard is an outstanding professional and his song choices were excellent. He was also very flexible and for instance kept playing the song even after it officially ended, to accompany me all the way until I was done walking down the aisle.
Richard had people singing and even dancing at some point with some of the more upbeat songs, and he had guests crying with more emotional slower songs. He really brought life to the event, could not recommend more.

Richard played for our wedding recently. He was absolutely amazing. The emotion that was evoked through his music was tangible. He played for our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was perfect I’m every way!!! Highly recommend. Well worth the price, and well worth supporting local musicians.

I booked Richard as a surprise for my daughter at her wedding as she had always wanted to walk down the aisle to a violinist - we couldn't be more delighted with his performance. The wedding was held in a barn and as you walked towards where the ceremony was held you could hear the violin playing which was just magical. Richard was so helpful and accommodating, playing everything that we asked for and more, he even played Laura's aisle walk music again for her as she wanted to re-live the moment (it was a short aisle!). After the ceremony, Richard played in the background, loud enough for everyone to hear, but also be able to hold a conversation. His contribution really added to the relaxed vibe of the wedding, but I can imagine that he would be equally at home in a more formal setting. We had so many compliments with regard to Richard's playing, I am sure that he will be receiving many more requests from people attending the wedding and the venue itself who were super impressed. Not only was Richard's violin playing excellent his communication before the event was brilliant, answering emails promptly and sending us a run down of what would happen on the day. My family and I send our best wishes and thanks to Richard for being part of the wedding and helping to make our daughter's day so special.

Richard played the beautiful peace Canon D for our wedding walk as well as some other pieces for the walk-out and wedding reception which turned out amazing.

He was a delight to work with and incredibly flexible with our requests and fast at responding to emails.

We felt that it really helped to add to the atmosphere and ambience of the day and would recommend this to everyone!

Richard played for our wedding on 21st September 2019 and he was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning he was helpful and personable. Not only did he play violin for our ceremony and reception, he accompanied my friends on the keyboard whilst they sang for us. His performance made our day and I highly recommend him and so do all of our guests. Thank you for adding to our day, it was beautiful. Justine & Ben

Absolutely brilliant violinist! A wide repertoire of music - I could have quite happily just sat and listened to him for the whole time he was there, but unfortunately duty called! Would thoroughly recommend Richard though, and I'm only sorry that i could not thank him personally on the day.

Richard is a highly accomplished, friendly and very capable musician and performer. We had the pleasure of working with him in Dawlish for the Open Mic sessions on The Bandstand and Richard managed to captivate the whole audience with his electric Violin. Highly recommended! :)

If you need a violinist or pianist who plays everything from Coldplay to Bach then this is your man! Hugely talented but also very easy to work with. Richard already has a huge repertoire (some of which is listed on his website) but if he doesn’t know it, is super flexible and will learn any requests. It was really easy to book Richard (we dealt with Richard over email/WhatsApp) and he was quick to respond to queries.
Feedback from guests was superb - I will never forget standing in the sunshine listening to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’! A huge thank you and couldn’t recommend Richard more.

We were so lucky to have the wonderful Richard Toomer as our violinist for our elopement wedding on July 30th 2019.

From our very first correspondence with Richard, he was so warm, professional and enthusiastic. We had a good idea of what we were after, and Richard listened and was so accommodating, even learning two new pieces for us for our day. He also had a vast repertoire for us to choose the bulk of our music from.

He played the pieces so beautifully, with his rendition of Steve Earle's Galway Girl bringing me to tears - it was just so perfect! Underlining his versatility, he played a more upbeat version of the same song later on for us all to boogie along to, and it was just fantastic. He learnt Bowie’s Magic Dance for us to exit to and he completely picked up on our enthusiasm for this song and everyone, including the registrars, boogied their way down the aisle. It was wonderful!

Richard, thank you for being part of our day and making it so special, you were fantastic!

On a very difficult day, Richard was outstanding. He set the tone for a wonderful afternoon (in the circumstances) and made the occasion a true celebration. His variety provided something for everyone. I don't expect I will ever hear Darude, Sandstorm on the violin again but it was a very fitting tribute to my Mum! I couldn't have asked for a better performance and would encourage anyone to book Richard. Thanks again.

Dear Richard, A big big thank you for making my 60th birthday so special. You warmth and attention to my requests were astounding as the music you played means such a lot to me. You seemed to capture the happy memories I have had throughout my 60 years! The guests were not expecting you and all were in awe of your professionalism. Thank you again Richard and hopefully in the not too distant future we can maybe do it again!

Richard was brilliant last night. We wanted Gaelic up beat music for our party which was great, later interspersed by some classic pop covers. He did exactly as we asked and made our party just that bit different. Thanks Richard.

Richard Toomer is simply a wonderful musician. He has played violin in several productions when I have been musical director and I have sung under his baton as principle tenor in the operettas he has conducted. As a conductor he is a natural and has the ability of getting the very best out of people with a wonderful sense of humour. Superb all rounder

Thank you very much Richard for your performance at our Somerset Dinner last month. Apologies for taking so long to write – and nothing to do about not wanting to do this … it’s just that work got in the way! You created the right atmosphere for our both formal and informal occasion – not an easy task. Thanks again – your professionalism was much appreciated too.
