Reviews of Robert Williams Bagpiping

Robert played at the Fleet 41 Club annual charity dinner which was held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Robert was magnificent. He played us into dinner and did an excellent 'set' towards the end of the meal. The event was held in the Indian Army Memorial Room, and Robert did the setting complete justice. He completely looked the part in his uniform and added real colour and style to the event. It was easy to put into place all the necessary arrangements with Robert and communications leading up to the event were excellent. I would highly recommend using Robert if you want to add an experienced, friendly and very professional piper to your event.

Rob was brilliant. He quickly took on board our hopes for the wedding and translated them into a beautifully bespoke and memorable schedule of tunes that were impeccably played. He piped our guests into the venue and then had the bride and several others in tears as Tania walked down the aisle. We wholeheartedly recommend Rob to anyone seeking to makes their wedding truly special

Rob came to our primary school to teach the children all about bagpipes. He was so passionate about his work and gave such incredible demonstrations of this wonderful instrument. The children were enthralled! Rob is such a lovely man who has so much talent and amazing stories to tell! I would book him in a heartbeat!!

We asked him to play at my late brothers internment on Saturday. He exceeded our expectations. He was meticulously attired (gave me a choice of what tartan I would like him to wear) & his laments added a very special touch to the proceedings. Rob was already at the cemetery waiting for our arrival. The service over ran but this was not an issue for him.
I would 100% recommend Rob.

Rob played at my Father In Laws funeral in March this year. Considering the current circumstances surrounding services at Crematoriums he willingly and considerately met all of the Crematoriums current requirements.
He piped my Father In Law to the door and played a separate piece when the coffin was taken in and Continued playing outside until the start of the service.
As a lone piper he is very smartly turned out very professional and considerate and played both our chosen pieces of music superbly. A fitting farewell tribute for a Scotsman who though quiet and reserved would have been so proud. We would all recommend Rob to anyone 100%

Robert played the pipes at my wedding in Hertfordshire in early December 2020. We discussed the music beforehand and he arrived well in advance of the
time required. He was immaculately turned out and played superbly both at the church and subsequently at the hotel.
He was absolutely excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him (and to book him again should the occasion arise).

Robert (Rab) came to the rescue last month when I needed a Bag Piper to play at my mothers funeral. It was very short notice but he came and did such a great job and was so respectful to the occasion. Having the pipes made my Mum's funeral so special. I would highly recommend Rab for any event as he was very professional throughout.

Rob provided a fantastic send off for my father and everybody thought it was a powerful and moving moment, when he played. Rob was very professional, played beautifully and his uniform was immaculate. He also stayed until after the funeral and played whilst family and friends viewed the flowers and gave their condolences which we were not expecting . Thoroughly enjoyable experience by Rob at my 50th birthday celebrations. A very easy experience to organise as Rob was attentive, clear and accommodating to my requests. I found him to be extremely reliable, personable and flexible. He brought a smile to everyone who heard the bagpipes ring out over our glorious home town of Dorking! Fantastic hearing the bagpipes played in the middle of Kent at my uncles funeral, Rob was really understanding and helpful in the currant situation, Incredibly smart, played all the tunes we requested, I would definitely recommend him for any occasion. I don’t normally write reviews but I’m super impressed with Rob, I just had to let everyone know how good he was.

Robert recently played at my Grandfathers funeral. He looked splendid in his Saffron kilt.
My Grandfather would be very proud being led on his final journey by a Royal Irish Piper.
