Reviews of Robin Bagpiping

I came to LMM with a bit of a whacky idea of hosting a bagpipe pub crawl for Burns Night, and was suggested Robin as our piper. We got so much more that we could have possibly asked for, he absolutely made the evening and all our guests were SO impressed. One gentleman even said that Robin was the best he'd ever seen - and he was a piper himself! Robin was fantastic at supporting and communicating before the event, it was easy to see how invested he really was in pulling this all off. On the night he provided such an incredible experience with his boundless energy and passion, and he truly led the evening - which, as an English Norfolk-born girl running a Burns event for the first time, I was so pleased with! Thank you a million times over for such a fun experience Robin, and we can't wait to have you back next year.

Robin was superb and exceeded my expectations. I asked Robin to pipe on my last Munro summit in Glencoe during the afternoon of my 60th Birthday for a party of 14 walkers. Robin reached the summit early and was able to pipe while we descended from another Munro summit and made the climb up the mountain to the 925m summit of Stob Coire Raineach, which made the event unforgettable. Robin had never climbed a Munro before, and his dedication and meticulous planning was very impressive, especially as he was the youngest person on the mountain. After the celebratory piping on the mountain top, he then piped for an hour wearing full ceremonial Highland dress in the evening at my birthday party which was held at the Red Squirrel Campsite in Glencoe. Robin is very charismatic, and he managed to get other campers involved by arranging an impromptu outdoor mini-Ceilidh with cross-generational dancing. All my guests and other folk on the campsite were very impressed by Robin. Thank you very much for making the event so special for everyone involved.

Robin played for my sister in law who was celebrating her 80th birthday making the whole experience so beautiful and overwhelming. Robin was kind, courteous and accommodating. He took part in our planning to surprise her with enthusiasm and care. We will never forget how special this was, I can barely find the words to describe what wonderful memories we have created. Thank you so very much Robin, we are still buzzing, you are amazing!

So firstly being English, we had to browse via websites different pipers and what they could offer… After searching for days we agreed on simply contacting a website. It was very early on in our wedding planning, I must admit and for us first impressions are a big influence. Safe to say Robin’s bio and description was spot on, why didn’t we just search here first!! We emailed the charming fellow, and immediately agreed on his wonderful nature, character and ability to influence our wedding. On the day his attention to detail is truly remarkable, the finish in his regalia was fantastic and was perfectly punctual. He started playing, and extended past what we had asked, simply a wonderful day made all the more special by Robin.

We recommend him to anyone without hesitation, thank you so much once again.

Robin played at our wedding on the 6th April at Crossbasket Castle and to say he was 5 star would be an understatement.

Robin played from an hour before the wedding as our guests arrived; he piped Elaine down the aisle and us both back; he played during the drinks reception and then finally he piped us in to the reception.

So many of our guests commented about Robin and how excellent he was and how he contributed hugely to a really great wedding for us and our guests.

From the point we started talking to Robin about playing at our wedding he was incredibly helpful with choice of Kilt to wear and a host of suggestions of tunes to play,

Overall, we cannot speak highly enough of Robin who is totally professional but also so friendly and engaging. He features a lot in the videos and photos of both the official photographer and videographers but also of all our guests

We thoroughly recommend him.

We had Robin for our elopement on Conic Hill, Loch Lomond. He really was a perfect addition and made our day another reason to remember it fondly.

It was not just his amazing Bagpipe playing, but also his fun energy. His dress/costume (sorry I'm not sure what it's called) looked amazing and his charming nature was loved by all. Our parents really loved you being there as much as we did and we are all still talking about you 🥰

Robin piped at our wedding on 14.04.2024 and was absolutely fantastic! Robin's piping was the perfect addition to the day, traditional and meaningful before and after the ceremony and included a more modern spin later in the day, which was great for entertaining our guests. Robin was so professional and friendly to work with and really helpful in advising what would work and helping to come up with ideas. He also played some requests on the day which our guests loved! We would recommend Robin to anyone and so glad he was part of our day!

We first met Robin at a wedding open day, and quickly knew we wanted him as our wedding piper.

Not only does Robin have strong piping skills, playing a mixture of traditional and fun / party tunes, his enthusiastic personality was a great addition to our day!

A memorable moment was being piped in to our wedding meal to Avicii ‘Wake Me Up’ which had all of the guests in great spirits. Our guests (in particular those from overseas) enjoyed the photo opps with Robin too, which really added to the experience.

Robin was professional in the run up to and on the day, and looked really smart in Black Stewart traditional dress.

We had a magnificent bagpiping and Celtic drumming performance at our wedding by the excellent Robin and colleague. I was particularly in awe of their rendition of the Skye Boat Song as they piped us up to our top table, and was delighted to hear them as we rowed across Loch Ard.
