Ruth played for our wedding back in May 2023. We asked her to perform for the ceremony in the church and the drinks reception (which ended up being outside as it was such a sunny day!) and we couldn’t have been happier with the service. It was just what we pictured for our wedding day, the selection of music was amazing and she even learnt a new piece for my wife to walk down the aisle too. We can’t thank you enough Ruth, it really made the day so special and just what we wanted. 100% recommend to anyone searching for a brilliant harpist for their wedding day or any other event!

Ruth played the harp at our wedding at Highfield House in Driffield and, quite simply, the day would not have been the same without her! She was very accommodating of our musical choices, communicative and responsive in the run-up to the Big Day, and highly professional on the day itself. She played at the ceremony and during the drinks reception and added a touch of class to proceedings. Highly recommended!

Ruth came to our rescue after another harpist let us down weeks before the wedding. She played at our ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful. Ruth is professional and quick to respond the queries and requests. Ruth even learnt a song we requested, going above and beyond for us really. Everyone complimented how lovely the music was, I’m just sad that I didn’t get to hear as much as all of our guests did before I arrived! Thank you, Ruth.

We had the wonderful Ruth to play at our daughter's wedding and she was superb. Some rather modern music was requested and Ruth gladly obliged! Ruth played leading up to the wedding, the wedding itself and for about an hour afterward whilst people where mingling around and the photographs where being taken. She also played a request from one of the older members of the wedding. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Ruth was absolutely incredible - her repertoire was enormous, and even then she learned a new piece for the start of our ceremony. All of our guests commented on what a wonderful ambience was created by her beautiful harp music, we couldn’t be more grateful for her making our special day even more special - thanks again Ruth!!

Ruth performed at our wedding in July, and all I can say is she was incredible! She added such a beautiful atmosphere to our day and all our guests commented on how beautifully she played. Throughout the process Ruth was so helpful and provided an extensive song list for us to select from, and even offered to learn songs for us if she did not have them in her repertoire. She sent me a couple of sound clips when I couldn't decide which song to have for my aisle song. Not only is she an incredible harpist, but she is also very professional and a lovely person. Ruth was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t imagine our wedding without her playing. The first thing I heard before going into our ceremony was Ruth’s harp and it completely calmed me down. We’ve had so many people tell us how wonderful they thought she was since too. She is so kind and attentive, and plays beautifully - a must for your wedding!!

Ruth played the harp at our wedding at Holmewood Hall in August 2023. She was attentive in all she did. We were able to hear some of our favourite songs throughout our special day. Ruth played for the ceremony part of our wedding back in spring. Hearing Ruth play while I was waiting to walk down the aisle after my bridesmaids, my nervousness went and was replaced with excitement. Many of our guests commented how it was such a lovely touch to have the harp. Even my husband who was originally a bit sceptical about having a harpist for the ceremony thought that it was beautiful and added something special. Ruth is friendly, professional, and open to requests. We can highly recommend Ruth!

We hired Ruth to play the harp for our outdoor wedding ceremony and it was one of the best decisions we made!

She was so helpful when choosing from her huge rep list - if she didn’t have a posted video of the song on her website she was happy to send over a recorded sample.

We wanted a little more of a contemporary feel to our ceremony so chose non-classical songs with more meaning to us but with Ruth’s classical training she made them sound elevated and original rather than a direct replication of the tune - which was perfect!

(We will never listen to Wonder Wall the same way again!)

Ruth played the harp at our wedding and was absolutely superb. She played the songs that we requested to walk down the aisle to and the rest of the ceremony and it was so beautiful. Ruth also played at our drinks reception and ceremony. The guests all commented on how beautiful the music was and Ruth is the most lovely young lady. It was the hottest Saturday of the year when we got married and it was so hot in the reception room. Ruth came over and lent me her fan to cool me down. She really was wonderful and having her play at the wedding made it all the more special. We would not hesitate to recommend her.

Ruth provided music for our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in June - We have had so many guests say how lovely she sounded and could not have been more pleased with her performance! We were meant to be getting married outside but given the torrential rain on the day, had to relocate indoors. Ruth was so accomodating to any last minute changes and even asked which dress she should wear to fit the theme!

We asked Ruth to create some music based on lord of the rings and a few classic songs to which she did an outstanding job!

We hired Ruth for our wedding at the end of September. She was everything we could ever wanted and more. She was always friendly, attentive and communicated very clearly and when needed throughout the planning process. Ruth’s repertoire of music is vast, and we were able to find and suggest songs to fit every moment that was needed.

The result? Ruth was instrumental (pardon the pun) to making our day a success. Ruth is an expert in her craft and through her expertise helped bring a level of ambience that made the day unique.

If I ever needed a musician again for an event I would hire Ruth in a heartbeat, and if you are reading this review would suggest you do the same.

We had so many compliments from our guests about Ruth, everyone we spoke to said how it was a lovely alternative to the organ. Even the vicar was very complimentary on Ruth’s work and highlighted how lovely it was to hear the hymns played by harp!

Ruth is exceptionally talented and it was an honour to have her play at our wedding. We were given the option to have Ruth learn 3 new songs for us, alongside using any songs from her existing library, which we jumped at.

She also reached out to us and offered to also sing the song we had chosen as our aisle song by sending us a clip of the harp solo along with her singing - we didn’t realise Ruth was also a singer and her voice complimented the harp and the song so well.

Ruth and her harp were a fantastic addition to our wedding ceremony and we were so pleased to have booked her to join us on our special day.

Ruth played at my wedding and it was the perfect touch for the day. She was extremely professional and was great with all guests (big and small)! She plays beautifully and it definitely made the day ten times as emotional and my guests enjoyed it thoroughly. Ruth was very responsive in communication in the run up to the big day and great at answering any queries. Highly recommend!

Ruth was absolutely fantastic. She played both at our wedding ceremony and in the garden at our reception drinks after. She has a wide variety of music to suit and we received so many complements from our guests on her playing. I could not recommend Ruth more for a wedding or event.

Ruth played at our wedding and was absolutely brilliant - both on the day and in the run up - including helping us to select various songs for the ceremony and even learning some new compositions specifically for us. As a professional musician, Ruth has a wide and varied repertoire and she also offered to learn any favourites pieces we might have.

We planned some beautiful music to play for our guests before the ceremony and Ruth was happy to discuss and advise on our choices – my only regret is that my Dad and I missed out on these before we arrived!

We asked Ruth to play one of her own award-winning compositions for us all to sit and listen to during our ceremony. We chose this piece over Debussy, so that just shows what a talented musician we think Ruth is! It was perfect and one of my favourite moments of the whole day.

Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed our ceremony and how beautiful and serene the room was when they arrived to Ruth playing.

Ruth played an integral part in making our ceremony so wonderful. I had every confidence beforehand that she would work her magic musically and also be able to read the room and adjust her timings based on when my Dad and I arrived and how long it took for us all to enter. I wanted to walk really slowly so that we could hear her play for longer but I’m sure I didn’t I was so excited!

Ruth had a smile throughout the whole wedding and was a joy to have there with us.
